STEVER'S HOME:

HE'S EATING SUPPER HERE- HE WAS HUNGRY- SURGERY WASN'T UNTIL 3:30PM- A LONG TIME SINCE HE ATE LAST...
ITS A SOFT CAST AND HE KEEPS IT ON FOR 2 WEEKS...

HE'S TIRED AND COLD, BUT HIS BUTT STILL FITS IN THE RECLINER- CRAIG HAD TO WORK THE LEVER TO GET HIM LAID BACK. HE'S GOOD, SOME PAIN, BUT THEY GAVE HIM 2 VICODONE BEFORE HE LEFT THE HOSPTIAL AND THEY STOPPED ON THE WAY HOME AND HE'S GOT A WHOLE BOTTLE ON THE TABLE...

STEVE IS OUT OF SURGERY- HE'S DOING OK:

HE HAS TO DO SOME MORE TIME IN POST OP- BUT SHOULD BE OUT OF THERE IN AN HOUR AND IT TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR TO GET HOME- THEY WILL HAVE TO STOP AT PARIS TO GET HIS MEDS AT THE PHARMACY. HE IS STONED AND SAID ITS THE WORST HANGOVER HE HAS EVER HAD.

STEVE WILL BE IN SURGERY IN HALF AND HOUR:

I STARTED THIS MORNING OFF LISTING ALL THE FAST FOOD PLACES AND THEN I HAD TO HAVE BREAKFAST, SO I COOKED THE DOG AND ME EGGS.

BUT HE WAS DOING REALLY GOOD- HE HAD HIS COFFEE.

THEN THE TIME WAS COMING AND THE BOYS DIDN'T SHOW AND A FRIEND, AT THE LAST MOMENT, SAID HE COULD TAKE HIM SO HE DIDN'T HAVE TO RESCHEDULE- NEEDLESS TO SAY HE WAS UPSET. BUT...I'M SURE THEY HAVE GIVEN HIM DRUGS BY NOW SO IF THE HOUR LONG RIDE DIDN'T COOL HIM OFF THE DRUGS WILL.

I'M NOT SURE IF THE BOYS WILL BE SAFE WHEN THE CAST COMES OFF OR NOT...THAT WILL BE A LATER POST.

SPRINGTIME ON THE PRAIRIE:

THE FARMERS AROUND HERE WILL START GETTING THEIR BABY ANIMALS- AND BEBE LOVES COWS AND HORSES WHEN WE DRIVE AROUND- NOT TOO FOND OF PIGS AND HE'S AFRAID OF THE NEW LAMBS.
WE SAW SOME COWS THE OTHER NIGHT- BEBE HAS HIS OWN SEAT IN THE VAN SO HE CAN SEE OUT. HE WAS EXCITED. I WILL GET PICS AS SOON AS WE FIND SOME BABIES.

ITS ALMOST TIME FOR STEVE TO GO THE HOSPITAL AND HE'S STARTING TO GET A LITTLE NERVOUS. THE NURSE CALLED TODAY AND SINCE HIS SURGERY IS SO LATE HE CAN HAVE HIS COFFEE UNTIL 10AM- YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT SHE SAID HE WAS CURED AND WOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE THE SURGERY THE WAY HE YELPED.

IT'S BEEN A LONG WEEKEND...

THE WEATHER IS HOT- NEAR 85 TODAY AND WE HAVE THE AIR ON- CAN'T BELIEVE ITS THIS WARM ALREADY- AND WE KNOW HERE WHAT CAN FOLLOW THIS- SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND TORNADOES.

WE STILL HAVE TRACES OF COLDS AND ALLERGIES STARTING- IT IS HELPING HAVING THE AIR ON AND STAYING IN TODAY-

THE BABIES CAME LAST NIGHT AND EARLY THIS MORNING-
1ST- 8:10PM
2ND- 8:24PM
3RD- 9:01PM
4TH-9:20PM
LONG WAIT HERE
5TH- 11:29PM- THE LAST 2 WERE HIGH AND SHE WAS SO TIRED
6TH- BETWEEN 1:45 AND 2:15AM

WE HAD TACOS FOR SUPPER LAST NIGHT AND THEN FOR LUNCH WE USED THE LEFT OVERS TO MAKE TACO PIZZA- THEY LIKED IT- I CAN'T HAVE IT AT ALL-I HAD FISH LAST NIGHT AND A BAKED POTATO AT NOON TODAY- AND YOGURT

CRAIG'S BEEN DOING HIS MAD DASH TO GET HIS LAUNDRY DONE BEFORE HE GOES BACK TO CHARLESTON FOR THE WEEK-

STEVER IS TAKING A NAP- HAD TO GET HIM AND CRAIG UP EARLY THIS MORNING- WE HAD A SMALL WATER LEAK IN THE KITCHEN AND WATER IN THE FLOOR WHEN I GOT UP TO CHECK THE BABIES- JUST A 12" PUDDLE NOT FLOODED OR ANYTHING- BUT NEEDED TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE DAMAGE AND ACCIDENTS-

THE NEIGHBOR'S BROTHER MOWED THE LAWN AGAIN- YES, OURS IS STILL IN THE SHOP- SO THERE WAS LITTLE YARD WORK TO DO THIS WEEKEND- IT HAD BEEN 2 WEEKS AND WE COULD HAVE BALED IT-

I THINK TH ATS ABOUT ALL THE NEWS FROM HERE- REMEMBER STEVE THURSDAY WHEN HE GOES FOR HIS SURGERY-

(I WILL POST PICS AND VIDEO AS SOON AS I CAN, BUT DON'T TELL HIM)

YOU JUST WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE ABUSE I HAVE TAKEN OVER THE YEARS WITH BIRTHING BABIES, SURGERIES, DRS VISITS, DENTISTS- THIS MAN HAS SHOWN ME LITTLE MERCY- AND ALWAYS HAD SOME HORRID TALE OF MISHAPS AND PAIN- WHEN I WAS YOUNGER- I BELIEVED HIM- BUT I HAVE GOTTEN WISER- BUT I STILL REMEMBER.....PAYBACK TIME IS COMING- LOL....

I'M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING REALLY BAD(LIKE I SHOULD)- BUT I AM GOING TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN.......

I TOOK ALL HIS JOKES FOR YEARS- LETS SEE IF HE CAN HANDLE IT----

HAVE A GOOD WEEK!

# 5 !

Pickles is a very good mom- the last one was 2 hours after #4 and she was getting so tired- napping in between contractions- and she just wasn't pushing but just going with the pains. I had to help her a little and it came right out.

FYI- None of hers are tuxedo- black and white- they are gray and white and tigers.

They will be available for adoption the middle to the end of June- if you want one - let me know!

Pickles and her new family- 6 hers and 4 adopted

It ended up being a long night last night- I went to bed before the last one came and got up again and found it still attached to the afterbirth. Cut the cord and it was good to go.
This morning I tried to remove the adopted 4- 10 is too many for her to try to nurse alone- but she got very upset- so I will supplement all of them twice a day with the KMR to make sure they are all getting what they need. Momma is on kitten food this morning- it will make her milk very good.

UPDATE:

PICKLES HAD 6 BABIES AND THE 4 FROM THE RESCUE = 10 BABIES ALTOGETHER...

PICKLES IS IN ACTIVE LABOR- STAY TUNED FOR MORE BABIES...

SHE JUST VOIDED- SO THE CONTRACTIONS ARE GETTING HARDER- IT SHOULDN'T BE TOO MUCH LONGER NOW- I'M HOPING FOR ONLY 3-4 BABIES- IT WILL BE EASIER ON HER- THIS IS HER FIRST AND LAST LITTER

HER DAD WAS SIAMESE- SHE HAS BLUE EYES- SO CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT HER BABIES LOOK LIKE-

POTTY FIRST AND THEN WE EAT...

WE FEED KMR- KITTEN MILK REPLACEMENT- FOUND AT WALMART OR ANY FARM STORE...NEVER FEED A KITTEN COWS MILK- THE PROTEIN IN THE MILK IS TOO STRONG AND WILL GIVE THEM DIARRHEA. THAT CAN KILL THEM.

POTTY TIME- BABY KITTENS CANNOT VOID ON THEIR OWN- YOU HAVE TO RUB THEIR PEE PEES TO GET THEM TO GO- LATER- THEY WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS ON THEIR OWN WHEN THEY ARE OLD ENOUGH TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE NEST.

Rowdy Babies-

Feeding time-

THEY ARE ABOUT A WEEK OLD- STILL DON'T HAVE THEIR EYES OPEN- ALL THEY DO IS EAT, SLEEP AND POOP. THEY ARE VERY HEALTHY. NOT A LOT OF WORK AT ALL.
NOBODY GAVE THEM COWS MILK AND THEY WEREN'T DEHYDRATED. IT SHOULD BE SMOOTH SAILING FOR 2 WEEKS- IF THEY HAVE AN INTESTINAL PARASITE- IT WILL SHOW UP IN 2 WEEKS WHEN THE IMMUNITIES FROM MOM'S MILK WEARS OFF.
