Beyond the gate awaits a world tucked safe behind a line,
As a row of stone circles ‘round to tell the world what’s mine.

Scattered slabs show the way along a winding trail,
That leads among a garden hid that resembles a fairy tale.

Hours spent on bended knee yields blooms among the vines,
Encased within these walls of gray where harmony is entwined.

Quiet dwells within the shade as gold trickles through,
Where a soul can bathe the cares away tucked safely out of view.

Behind the walls, a world begins, the most enchanted kind,
As a row of stone circles ‘round to tell the world what’s mine.

Fences are made of many things- wire, brick and wood,
Inner walls are built in the place where a dream once stood.

They’re built to protect what lies within, secure behind a gate,
For when the latch is set in place- the world will have to wait.

We create a safer place within these walls that we have made,
To allow us to walk face up to the sun or stroll among the shade.
