I love chippy paint...
and this was my birthday present last year from my best friend, Rebecca...
and each brush stroke was painful...
until it was done...
I love it now...
and with it being protected from the weather means I will have it that much longer...
and for me nothing beats a swing...
I rocked both my babies in swings...
I've read the best books in swings...
I have made my best plans in swings...
I have felt the best summer breezes in swings...
I have star gazed in the middle of the night in swings...
and I have spent the most magical evenings holding hands with my greatest love in swings...
there's a special kind of magic when your feet aren't touching the ground...
Happy WW, everyone!...
Oh, I love this post! What a terrific friend you have! I love swings and you captured their charm perfectly!
ReplyDeleteMy feet wouldn't touch the ground anyhow - too short!

Looks like I get to be the first comment! :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the swing! I'm trying to figure out where the best place to put one would be in our new yard. We just moved in in Jan. It takes awhile to get everything "just right"!
Thank you so much for sharing!
Amy
You definitely have a love for swings! That's a fabulous one, and we're pretty crazy about our porch swing. We've had some really great conversations while swingin'!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!

Sweet! My eighteen year old daughter loves to swing better than anything else in this world. When she was little she almost did not learn to ride a bike because she would not get off the swing. Now we have two, just for her. I am visiting from Faded Charm. ♦olive
ReplyDeletePorch swings are so romantic and so relaxing. I love yours.

Just lovely...I'll be over with some ice tea and sugar cookies. Perfect seating for a nice neighborly visit. Love it. You did a great job.

aawwwww...what a sweet post. Your swing is wonderful! Sounds like lots of great memories will be made there.

Thanks for the idea of painting a bowling ball, instead of trying to find a cement orb for my gazing ball holder! That's such an obvious solution, and I feel like a bonehead for not thinking of it myself!
