The funeral went well...when a minister dies...it is so hard on the ministers that have to do the funeral...but they did a wonderful job...and its especially hard when those ministers have known each other for so long...raised their families together...and its hard on their children too...they share a bond...because they are family...this side and the other...
welcome to my place and life as I know it...and my journey along the way...thankful for what I have...grateful for what He does... THIS BLOG MAY CONTAIN COOKIES...I HAVEN'T PUT THEM THERE, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WHO MIGHT...YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

We have ice...
got up this morning to some freezing rain, but it should be warmer and done with before noon...
I don't think they will have to postpone the funeral...
had one call earlier and said he wouldn't be able to make it...one of Steve's cousins is in a wheelchair and the ramp at his home is covered in ice...
they could get him down it but not back up...so he is staying home...
understandable...
I thought about trying it today...but not with the ice...
so its the last day of the ritual thing...and then we can try to get back into a normal routine...
whatever our new normal turns out to be...
visitation last night was good...Steve said his dad looked 10 years younger...no stress on his face and very peaceful...
he was pleased...
so many came but not too many that it was overwhelming...
some showed up that surprised him and others he thought would come didn't...
but with funerals and death...we all handle it differently...and some just don't like to face it...or its just too sad for them to do...reminds them of their own losses...
so whatever you do today...who ever you end spending time with...take just a moment to hold a hand or give them a hug...and remember...smile...laugh...giggle...
