WE HAVE A NEW TOY...

I tried something new...
don't have it exactly the way I want it...
but it's coming along...
this will be good with the rainy days coming up...
what is it? you ask...
it's the new blogger template...
I used a new template...
take your screen to 75% and check out the humming bird on the side...
it kept the background I had added but just blinged it up...
try it out and have fun!...

first bon fire of the season...

Chris and Mr Wiggles...
Tia and Craig trying to get the fire started as Chris watches...
Chris and Craig...
Tia and Chris..
the 3 stooges...trying out the new loungers...they will work out great around here...
and little primer and some paint and they will even look good...
we made fire pits...this is the second one...one on each side of the yard...out of recycled salt glazed blocks from a house that was torn down just down the street...
they finally got it going...this is the first fire that I haven't had to start...
Chris and Tia...
while I was waiting on them to get it going...I took some shots of the new tomatoes we need to plant this weekend...
and a screen...recycling it...needs some mending...but it will work...
and filled the feeder...
have a toasty night....

supper time around here...

supper tonight...we were going to do left overs...but there wasn't enough...
so we had a few hot dogs, 1 polish sausage, and a little deli ham...
in the meantime we had fried potato chunks cooking...
then in the big pot we added green peppers and onions...
2 cans of pork and beans...
1 can of corn...drained...
1/2 can tomato sauce...
1/2 bottle bbq sauce...
a hand full of parsley...
cook all that together and add the potatoes...
when its all gooey...
turn it off...
and we added 3- 1/2 bags of shredded cheese...that's a total of 1 1/2 bags...
stir and pour over nacho chips...
it's not bad...
and it's fast...
Steve finishing his second plate...
then Chris showed up and brought his own supper...
bbq chicken, mashed potatoes and hush puppies from the store's deli...
this is the closet we get to fast food take out here...
I was good...
I had cooked cabbage, carrots and mashed potatoes...
with a little of my homemade bbq sauce on the mashed potatoes...
men can for sure eat more than women can...
there's no way I could ever keep up with what they eat...
have a good one...

things are blooming...

if you can't beat the weeds...blog 'em...
sedum...
my little red wagon...
mums...mine bloom twice a year...
hope your world is full of blooms...

it's sticky out there today...

tomatoes from Triple H...they are giving them away now...
we'll find a spot...
if we get too many for us and friends...
we donate to the food pantry here in town...
if we would all  grow double what we need...
or bought just $5 extra in food every week...
no one would be hungry...
it would mean the world to someone living without...
and chances are...
we would never miss it...
