rainy days make puddles to reflect the way things are right here and right now...
there is nothing much prettier than natures looking glass...
and the reflections it holds...
a true image in reverse...
calming, reassuring...
peaceful...
with each plop of rain...
and rainy days give you time to day dream...
about what is to come...
and how this junky area is going to change so much this year...
for I have been making plans...
and I kind of like the old lettering on this...
but then I am trying to come up with something better in my head...
any ideaa?
I want to leave most of the gray...
but I could paint the center section...
but would it cover it up or just look bad?
it's also a day for smelly wet dogs...
who need towels when they come in...
got to dig out the rain coat...
and, yes, there is a bright yellow and orange doggie rain coat in the closet...
it's soon going to be time to be using this again...
and we will have to move this further away from the house so the birds will continue to feed...
and right now I am putting dryer fuzz in the hanging planter here next to the feeder...
it's so the baby birdies will have a softer nest...
save your fuzz and just throw it out in your yard...
the birds are busy making nests now...
and they will use it...
it's been a day of friends, prayers, housework, hopping, laundry, napping and eating...
DH had the day off and it gave him a 3 day weekend...
been nice hanging out with my guys today...
and visiting all of you...
update on Angel Dawn's foot size...
that little bitty 90 lb storehouse of faith...
wears a size 10 1/2 shoe!
so if you stick some socks in your bonnet...
make 'em BIG!
Hugs- Tete
big puddles when i went home through Greenup! rained really hard on the way home but it has slowed down and is really cold.
ReplyDeleteI love the puddles too Tete. Your mailbox buggy is too cute--I like it the way it is-looks vintage to me. Praying for you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI really like your mailbox buggy too :) Kinda vintagy-cute ♥

Hey Tete - I have a question.. the seed that you have in that birdfeeder.. looks like all safflower. Is that so? The strange thing is that when I tried doing the same this year, none of the birds even blinked an eye or gave their peaks a bite. But, when I mixed the safflower in with the other fruit and nut seed they ate it.. Isn't that just nuts? lol... as far as the mailbox.. If it were mine, I'd paint it red with big white letters and wheels.. but then again, you like blue so maybe just a fresh coat of paint of pretty blue. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tete! I'll trade the snow for the rain!!! Last night's news said we have 12" and it snowed all night and all day today, at this point...who's counting!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your dad, my thoughts are with you.
Faye
It looks like most of your snow has melted and gone. I can see promises of Spring in your area.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the old mailbox...except that I think it is as cute as anything on that baby-buggy frame. How fun is that? How about wrapping it in burlap and sealing it?
Have a good night- Hugs-Diana
