what a morning...

Doug showed up at 7am this morning...
and after DH made pancakes and I had my shower...
we headed out here to get this all weeded and worked up...
so it will be ready when it's time to plant and move things around...
he's all smiles here...
and it was packed hard...
my baby lilac...
this is how it began...
and we found a shingle in the yard...
so while the guys are grabbing the ladder...
I'm playing with my camera...
and I'm still waiting to get this project started...
and monkey boy is waiting on the roof for nails...
and the camera...
so while he was up there...
and after he replaced the shingle...
he took some photos...
amd then he finally came down...
and we began again...
DH pulling grass roots...
and I'm bored again...
I tried to hoe...
ouch...
I tried to rake...
ouch...
they made me sit down...
so here I sit watching them...
and telling them what to do...
step by step...
and this is the result...
I have bigger plans...
but a girl has to do things in steps so the hired hands don't go on strike...
but this will work for now...
need more brick..
cow manure...
sand...
plants...
meanwhile...
the other side is growing so much!
yeah, I like it...
last thing before lunch is filling the bird bath...
cuz we have dirty birds...
you should see the water!
and one last shot of the sky...
and the sun shine we are allowed...
it was very cool out this morning...
it's 54 now...
but we had left over slop and Doug headed for home...
I am going to potty, wrap back up and head out again...
maybe I can talk someone into pushing me down the street to see what everyone else is doing today...

FYI- for those who have been asking...
you can change your font in template...
they have added many to list...
this font is called...
coming soon...

May God Bless and Keep You In His Care...
Happy Sunday!

  1. It's so nice to see green grass and sun after our long winter, isn't it, Tete? I dearly miss all of my flower beds, but look forward to exploring our new yerd, and seeing what is growing there! I do know that the back yard is bordered by rhododendrun bushes, so hopefully they are in bloom now!

  6. Send those boys my way! I'll feed 'em good and you know that will make them happy! Everything is looking wonderful, Tete. I am so glad that you are able to get out and participate even if you can't do the physical end of it. Every good man needs a brain telling him what to do (I think it was YOU that told me that, wasn't it) No? Okay...I just didn't want to get blamed for saying it myself. God told me that -bwahahahaa...YOU know where I got THAT from! Have a great night- xxoo Diana

  7. you were so productive, so were we. Cleaned off the front porch, planted in my McCoy pots, cleaned out the gutters and got a new gas grill and had steaks on it tonight! as Mr says "it feels so good to get so much done"

  9. I like the brick that you added. I think it makes it easier to keep the weeds out, just because you know exactkly where the beds end. Send the men out this way. I need a little help in the gardening area this year.
