after visiting Debbie at the Lakehouse and seeing her tinted angel statue...
I grabbed a bottle of paint, a glass of water and a brush...
and I blue washed my little girl...
I love her!
and we moved her out from under the bush...
the azalea is blooming now...
and growing...
and it has finally come back full from the flood...
I almost lost it...
and everything was so pretty working out here today...
and we had a butterfly come to visit...
a beautiful swallowtail...
this is what we have been working on for the last 2 days...
this is where the loungers were...
and we took down both fire pits to make one...
after we have another good rain...
it will all settle and then we will go back and level it all up...
and this is where the fire pit was...
there is more shade here...
so it made sense that we move the loungers so they are in the shade most of the time...
because we don't need the shade at night when we have a sit around the fire pit...
Sherry from Country Wings in Phoenix gave me the idea of using burlap, but instead of using it in the old chair, I'm going to use it in my little wagon...
and then it will be full of flowers, too...
the old chair that was the bird bath, for those of you who have followed me for awhile, was so brittle...
when we tried to take it apart to use for a trellis...
the legs just snapped like match sticks...
so hanging behind the bench is what I could save...
and we blue washed it, too, while we were at it...
I am so tired...
we had farmer's pie for supper and I took a nap and still am wiped out...
hurt all over...
and I took the last dose of medicine last night- yippee!
but still have a bad tummy today...
it got almost to 90 and not used to the heat yet...
not after having a high of 63 last week!
so, enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great night....
You can tell you have been doing a lot of work. You have a very pretty yard. The little blue angel just adds to it.
ReplyDeleteI have the same little girl in my garden, a gift from my mom! Would love to come take a nap under your shade!
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet little blue girl. Your yard looks great. I wish I had more shade in my yard.
ReplyDeleteIt is so easy to overdue when the weather is so pretty. The work you all did really shows. I loved that little girl, so cute.
ReplyDeleteOh Tete! I'm loving that little girl! She's so pretty in blue!
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks awesome! Lots of work, but so worth the effort, huh?
You'd better take it easy for a day or two...just go and sit in one of the loungers and relax.
I like the fire pit, by the way.
Hugs,
Debbie
Your little girl is just darling, Tete! And your gardens are looking amazing! I heard you've had the heat, wow, I don't miss that! It was in the 60's today and no humidity, yeah! I don't think I'll be wearing shorts (or getting a tan) this summer! Feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteOh Tete Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteI hope by now you are all outside enjoying a beautiful fire, or you are resting inside after a deep, restful bath. What a beauty you created. I love your little girl all blue washed. She is just gorgeous and does she ever pop.
Love the new fire pit, and that rocker has our name on it. You and I could sit there for hours just laughing and sharing, and maybe have a marshmallow or two, or better yet, I'll bring the goodies and let's have smores. Yummm....
Love your shade under the tree with those recliners as well. Boy at least one of those is calling me. I am so sure of it.
You have really worked hard sweet one. Everything is looking so beautiful and coming to life for the Summer. We are already getting hot, HOT here and some of my flowers are looking bad already. The heat is so hard on them.
Back to work tomorrow. Hopefully I will hear something in the next 2 weeks about my promotion. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Tete your yard looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteKelly
