fun things...

oh, not a productive morning at all...
it's a lazy summer day...
it's been a goof off day...
the back of Craig's shirt...
the front says the same thing, but to look on the back of the shirt...
he has so many of these crazy shirts!
the north yard this morning...
we were waiting for the train...
a RR crew had been through this morning cutting down limbs and small trees...
and my biggest pet peeve is that they never clean it up when they are down...
the last owners of the RR kept it spotless and sprayed brush killer...
not these "new" guys...
and the sad part is, my husband works for them...
Craig decided that his butt was bigger than it used to be...
it's just not a good fit anymore...
and there she is...
I love trains...
don't know why...
maybe because they are slowly dying out...
being replaced like everything else from my childhood...
things we never gave a thought to...
it would always be there, right?
and the bottle bee is hanging with the blooms...
those have been the most fun things to make...
and I need to do more...
they sell out everytime I put some in the booth...
and I sat here dreaming this morning of a new deck with a roof!
shade all of the time and to be able to sit out in the rain...

I need to do something for DH right now....
something that should have been done in the spring...
it's time...
I hope he has a good day today...
got a 3 day weekend coming up here...
can't wait!

  2. Oh I love trains too. When I was a kid and lived in the mountains I would often pause on a winter's night between house and barn and way off down in the valley I could hear the train whistles blowing. I always wanted to ride one but have never been on a train!

What the heck is a bottle bee? Never heard of it! xo Diana

One year I got him train slippers that cho cho'd when he walked, a clock that blew it's whistle on the hour and anything else I could lay my hands on that was cool and had to do with trains.. love that t-shirt too!

  4. I love trains to, my Grandfather that lived at 1515 was a conductor on the Nickel Plate RR. I love the hear the train go south of our house, it is the same one that goes through Greenup and I use to know my Mom was hearing the same train...
