the family that weeds together...
stays together...
we started out this morning on the island and that was pretty easy...
so we moved onto Craig's flower bed...
this is his memorial garden for all the pets...
he started it after we lost our dog, Max...
she was a german shepherd and was poisoned by a neighbor who liked to go through people's sheds in the middle of the night, if you know what I mean...
he moved...
the clouds have kept the heat out so far...
lavender and day lilies...
we bought the lavender when Craig worked at the green house south of town...
you are probably getting sick of these...
but they are in every bed here...
almost...
lemon balm...
corn...
field corn...
it lines the back of the yard...
makes a great privacy fence...
I love the leaves of the walnut tree...
do you have any walnut trees in your yard?
the squirrels will come for sure...
there was a limb that was in the corn...
so the guys took it out and cut it up this morning...
can you see Daphene in the branches?
she loves branches...
she's Craig's baby girl...
he is trying to pick up the leaves and she won't let him...
the tomatoes are huge and the screen had to come off...
they were trying grow through it...
besides, it won't be long before pickin' time...
my light pink knock out rose...
isn't she pretty?
she is a new one...
just a couple years old...
I can't wait until she grows up over the old gate...
we weeded the side yard along the fence...
and then mowed around the beds...
we are going back out to tinker as soon as I get this posted...
we have massive heat coming...
I think all the pots need to go in the shade in the flower beds...
and I'm sure we could find more weeds if we try...
have a great weekend!
Your knock rose is so pretty. I have some red in the front yard but would love to have a pink one in the back.

I never get tired of beautiful color in any flower. One of my favorites is my canna that is orange and yellow. I have just yellow, too.
ReplyDeleteYou are way more energetic than me!
I can't seem to get motivated to weed.
We have Walnut trees, I love to crush the leaves and smell them. I want to cut one, one of these days and build a clock out of it.
The flowers are lovely, as usual. Your hubby's yellow cat is a beauty. The field of corn looks as if it really helps to make things peaceful. Enjoy and blessings!
