it's sneaking in...
coming on fast because of the lack of rain...
mostly cloudy today but no rain...
walnuts will be falling soon...
but look at the corn...
it's beginning the drying process...
and it's not a good crop...
food prices will soar as soon as they hit the fields, if not sooner...
stock up now...
weeds, tall as the corn...
farmer's weeds, not mine...
got the paints out today and got the base coat on the pumpkins...
will do the details tomorrow...
needs to cure overnight...
fall is coming on fast and need to get these ready to use...
I also need to get my fall stuff in the booth and start thinking about what Christmas stuff will be going in...
that needs to be in there next month...
just talked to Rebecca...
she has had her barn open for 3 days in a row now...
not too bad the first day...
ok yesterday...
a bust so far today...
there have been people in but they didn't buy a whole lot...
that's about it for today...
feeding babies mostly and turning them lose to run amuck...
they are learning the take down move and have been practicing a lot...
they run, they jump, they fall over...
I would get photos...
but they are a blur right now...
they only sit still to sleep and I am not bothering them when they do that...
have a great evening...
We have gone so long in this drought, everything is dying. Trees, shrub, flowers, grass, farms and produce. In fact, if we do not get rain soon, we are told water may become rationed.
ReplyDeleteI second what LV just said. The draught is horrible. I don't remember rain since about Memorial Day, though the DFW airport (office station) a almost an inch last Saturday. That's not much. We have been watering so much the bill is ky high and I'm afraid they are soon to institute water rationing. It's already going on in some Texas places. Cattle are dying, trees stress and dying. We need some rain!
