are you ready?
got your menu planned?
house cleaned and your clothes picked out?
me either...
you know it's time to get with the program...
a week from today...
we are having dinner for 14...
4 humans...
10 fur balls...
trying really hard to get these babies ready to go...
but will have to hold them another week or they will be in the pound...
kind of hard asking the next one to take them before adoption if they have tons of people coming and food to fix...
it wouldn't be good to toss these babies into the middle of someone else's chaos...
they are used to ours...
had a sinus head ache today and finally got rid of it after supper...
Craig grilled steak and made fried potatoes...
noodles and veggies...
he did good...
the guys have a game on...
yippee...
will just have to get busy doing something else...
have a great night!
Glad to see you felt well enough to post today, Tete! I love your images. Now that I look at them I don't think I have seen too many with the flag incorporated into the design. I like that!
ReplyDeleteDinner sounds good to me- especially the fact that someone else cooked it!
I just got home from the hospital and I hated to leave. I think my dd was feeling a little lonesome as we all took our leave. I can't wait to get her home to shower her with attention and affection. xo Diana
There will be 17 human attendants at our Thanksgiving dinner. I'm making the rolls, mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs. It is everyone pitch in, or as us southerners call it, PotLuck...We are combining both sides of the family, into one big dinner. Outlaws, inlaws, and anyone else who shows up at our daughter's home.
ReplyDeletelove the images. No...I have had some passing thoughts about the "meal" but it's just Kam Kurt and me...so No HUGE feast...just some good vittles.*When we were thick 'n' heavy in Rescue and fostering, we never let an adoption occur within two weeks of Thanksgiving. All fosters were "on hold", and we did not allow Christmas adoptions of any of our rescues.( so December we took Petfinder applications but only allowed the adoption AFTER the holidays, for the sake of the animal) You would Not Believe how upset some people Got at us for this. man oh man...we tried to let it slide off our backs. Every potential new home had to do a week of trial foster to see if the "fit" was good...that way if it didn't, it was not final or a done deal, and the animal came back to it's foster mama. :-) People used to YELL at us that they could adopt a human easier than one of our fosters...lol. We saw the bad - the ugly - and the horrors of abuse and neglect in our business. We STOOD our ground. (After almost 4 years, you can understood why I was in burn out. *it wasn't the animals - it was the people!* yikes...off my soap box now. Have a good one Tete!!! Hugs to you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteDear Tete,
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Shirley
My diningroom table is FULL of the stuff I'm taking to Melissa's house tomorrow for Sundays meal.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you had a sinus headache Tete. They are as bad as a migraine!
Sounds like you will have a house full for the holiday! Fuzzballs and all.
Woohoo! Bob Sieger! We used to go see him in concert...even before he was with the Silver Bullet Band!
Have a nice weekend, sweetie pie.
