DH and his friend went in this morning and got our stuff out of the antique mall...
the one that asked me to leave without an explanation except that even though I was making my booth rent...
my sales weren't high enough for them...
they take no commission...
????
we usually deal with the mother of the mother/ daughter owners...
it was the daughter who called me...
the mother is wonderful!
always cheerful and always helpful...
so DH and friend walk in...
and were greeted...
daughter-"What are you doing here?"
?????
she had no idea of who they were...
they could have been shopping....
like customers...
so sad...
"Packing up my wife's booth"...
then she got nasty...
just hateful tones and comments...
I am so proud of DH for not telling her where to go and how to do it...
he so wanted to...
she had my check ready...
there were others packing out, too...
one was a new booth that hadn't been in there very long...
daughter even had to make a phone call to Rebecca before they could take my cabinet out...
my cabinet...
they didn't wait for her to get back...
it was already in the back of the truck before she could dial...
she did offer a box to help pack out...
and then came back with one...
7x18...
held 3 things...
DH still isn't sure if she was being nasty on that one...
LOL
thank you, Lord, for delivering us from evil...
we had no clue that the daughter was like this...
always having dealt with the mother...
His plan is to keep us safe and He's on it...
Lord, help the dealers still in there and about to go in...
you don't treat people that way...
no way, no how...
I never treated my dealers like that...
or my customers...
everyone was greeted with a smile and a cheerful greeting...
every single time...
why would anyone want to shop in a place like this?
I had no clue or we would have been out of there a long time ago...
so if God is trying to tell you something...
and you don't understand it...
He has a reason...
blindly following Him will keep you safe and happy...
go with it...
something better is coming...
He's got it all lined out...
Hi Tete, I sure am glad that Hubby & Friend went to clear out your booth ~ What Ever happened to Customer Service, to think they treat Dealers & Customers without Kindness or Respect.... also Love the photos from the previous post, to see how those old homes were in the past, would sure be a Delight....

That is just horrible, Tete! Horrible. I hate it when people treat others like 2nd class citizens..like they are better somehow. It sounds like this gal has a highbrow attitude with a lowbrow mentality. I would NEVER shop there if I knew an owner was like that.
ReplyDeleteWell, like you say, God bless the people that are still in there and be glad that He opened the gate so you could escape! xo Diana
Hello Tete,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about your move from the antique mall......some people and it seems it is the younger generation that treats people with no respect. That mother of the mother/daughter team needs to know how her daughter treats others.
A better thing is going to happen for you.
Love your header I had the same one and when I came to visit you I saw you had it also.
Enjoy your day!!!

The mother is always there when I go and very pleasant? I have only talked to the daughter a couple of times. Makes me not want to go there. How dare her ask DH what he wanted?
ReplyDeleteWhat other booths were leaving do you know?
If the mom is there I will shop, if it is the daughter I will turn around and leave.
So sorry, I will miss u...when I was in your booth i felt kind like i was visiting with you.
It sounds like the daughter is not well and that store will not be there much longer with an attitude like that!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to go through such a miserable and unnecessary ordeal!
♥ Jil
well...I never heard of such!! Making your rent but not enough commission for them gets you kicked out??? Something wrong there! But I bet it's for the best and something better is gonna happen for you Tete....xo Love that photo of the cat in the other post. LOL
