more fun in a can happenings...

the croquet set is almost ready...

painted the birds that go on the bird bath...
I had them blue, but they were too bright...

the little chair that I got off of Rebecca was white...
not anymore...
;)
I am going to use this with my potting bench...

the 3 corner shelf that Doug found in a dumpster...
it was dark blue...
it will go on the new deck...

and the 3rd metal garden chair is celery green like the other 2...
this one belonged to my father in law...
I am sure he would like it...

now, the carrier for the croquet set needs painted on the bottom side...
it was a deep red before...

we are in the final days for the columbine and iris...
they have been so pretty this year...

Craig is really getting into this painting, but we are about finished..
it has been fun to take something that we already had and make it fun again...
and to find something and give it a 2nd life...
in this case, it may be the 3rd or 4th...

meanwhile, on the other side of the house...

the lilies are blushing...

and the washtub is full of blooms...

and DH had to shimmy a few old fence pickets in the old wicker chair to hold the new purple pot of petunias...
this was going to go out in one of the front beds until I found the ladder...
so now it sits by the back steps...

keep my dad in your prayers...
he was in the hospital for 10 days...
his kidneys are failing again...
but he did this last year...
and they had him already gone...
but he's still here 15 month later...
so that just shows you that we do not pass from here until God says its so...
I just pray that God calls him soon...
he is so tired...

its a little warmer here today...
and I have been a little sick to my stomach since lunch time...
but I did get it down...
I haven't had any IBS problems for months since I went off of dairy...
but the last 2 nights I have had one little scoop of ice cream...
dumb me...

  1. Love the croquet set and all the 'found' or re-purposed items.
Sorry to hear about your dad, and you are right, God knows the time, not the medical staff.

  2. I so enjoy hearing how you spend your days and what projects you're working on, Tete! :) Feels like I'm right there with you! I've learned to stay away from ice cream lately, too. Just doesn't set well with me anymore....nor my hips. lol! I will be keeping your dad in my prayers, sweetie.

  3. Well, you know I am praying for your Dad and for you because I know you would have liked to be there for these final few days and hours. My heart aches for you.

Your spray painter is getting quite a workout! He's done a good job getting everything all spiffed up for Summer. xo Diana
