are you aware of what God has placed inside you?
what gift did you receive?
note this says to in the service to others...
who have you helped today?
sometimes the gifts are as simple as prayer for each other...
some have other abilities to feed and clothe thousands, or just one...
no gift is too small...
they are all important in this world...
do you use your gift?
do you use it well?
God has given me many gifts over the years...
they change as I change...
they grow as I grow...
and they stood stagnant when I failed to move forward...
we so often send up prayers asking for tons of things...
but how many times do we fail to pay back the loan?
are we earning our keep?
some are...
and some are doing just a tad...
very few give all they have...
but if we change...
and become more focused on the BIGGER picture...
maybe we could change the world...
is there something that you have noticed around you that you do not like or you think is wrong?
well, maybe that's God opening your eyes to something He thinks you could change...
God puts on our hearts what He needs done...
you could very well be the answer to someone else's prayer...
so instead of all of us sitting around complaining about how bad things are...
we need to get up and move...
sit and talk with someone...
lend a hand...
give away some of what you have been so blessed with...
make a change...
you think you have nothing to offer?
no skills?
well, guess who that is telling you that you are unworthy?
tell him to shut his mouth and leave you alone...
you have things to do...
BIG things...
and to get out of your way...
with God's power...
nothing can stop you but yourself...
Giving is so much sweeter than receiving, most of the time. One small thing anyone can do, and which I do, is write letters to older relatives. They LOVE this. Also my two book are intended to help people, and when I retired I signed up as a volunteer in a program to help homebound people. Letter writing, friendly phone calls and prayer are things we call can do. Thanks for this reminder.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, two typos by me in my first comment. I didn't delete it since that looks too mysterious :)
ReplyDeleteTete- What a spot on message- A real call to action. I often wonder if I am doing all I could do (I know I'm not) but there are times I am afraid to move forward for one reason or another. I don't think ANY of us give all we could give. It is sad, really- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWell You GO girl...what a message of encouragement to think about what our special task might be and how God has equipped us to do it...I love it...always for others - not for ourselves...and ALWAYS for HIS glory...rah. a very GOOD post Tete...It makes us all remember to go back to our knees every morning and ask God to give us His eyes and His heart for the day. Love you Tete...Thanks for visiting today and you know the red top on the carrier is covering a 2nd holder as deep as the top...so I guess it's for a pie AND a cake...I never thought!!! I figured it was for ice or an icee block to keep more cold in there! so thanks for the info! Hugs to you! I will get some pics of the yard to share. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteVery thought provoking! I read on a church sign once: Your greatest ability is your availability. Being willing...not selfish with my time...sharing. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to say that dusty miller does bloom (a yellow daisy-like flower) although I've never seen it. Be sure to post photos if yours blooms.
Hugs, Beth
