got some planting done...

good afternoon!
it is so wonderful out today here...

picked these up about a month ago and have just been itchin' to do something with them...

I put these is planter that will sit on the deck railing...
easy access for later...

carrots and radishes are in a planter, too...
green beans will have to wait...

started these in my egg crates...
stapled the seed pack inside so I know what they are when they come up...
and closed the lids and sit them in the sun to warm up...
I will open them in about a week and see what we have...

here is the little statue thing in the lantern that I am using to hold the bird seed...

and its got some weight to it so it doesn't swing madly when they land...

and here are some shots of what's blooming now...
so go ahead and look around...

took the bird feeder down to fill and I had Craig run and wash it out...

so while he was doing that...

I goofed off a bit...

I think it might be time to paint the old bike again, or at least, touch it up a bit...

still too wet to dig in the dirt...
tried it...
too wet to paint any wood...
too early to plant the pots...

the flamingo looks like he is smelling the flowers...
but with all of that, it hasn't stopped us from going from here to there...
moving, tweaking, straightening...
adjusting, planning, and just soaking up some sun...
its a tank top and flip flop day here...
we just hit 80...

the springs and the falls are the best time on the prairie...
so much life and color and fun...
got a nice breeze coming through the south living room window...
the curtains blow and fall back again...

look for the simple things in life...
and you will always feel blessed...
don't just look around...
see...
;)

  1. Wow your pictures show some gorgeous flowers and I love your flamingo. That bird feeder is such a great idea.
My kids are going to pop out the screen any second now if those dang squirrels across the street don't stop chasing and fighting with each other-LOL

  4. So true, Tete, it is the little things in life that bring so much joy. Hearing the birds sing thru our open windows, digging in the dirt today, and picking fresh flowers. It's therapy, isn't it? Love your lantern with the cherub, how sweet is that? Oh, and your bike, I really want one for one of my flower beds!

  5. Hi Tete, We had another 85 degree day today. The temperature is dropping which is suppose to be in the 40's tomorrow. I hope they are wrong. I loved the flowers they are so pretty. I think I am going to try to grow some flowers in my brick planter, but with getting told the possibility of snow this week I am waiting a few more days. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
