it was another dreary, rainy day here...
but, finally, this afternoon, we got outside...
and the rains have brought forth many new things...
I love it when the ferns uncurl...
and as some pretties begin to fade, others are readying for their time in the sun...
our hydrangea...
the drought hurt it pretty bad, but it is still with us...
another project on the list of things to do...
cut back...
the asian lilies are up...
and after work, DH started his trim mowing...
mower guy called and he will be here tomorrow...
he is so far behind...
and it could start raining again at noon...
only one day this week without rain in it...
the columbine are coming into their time...
baling hay...
I think I am going to paint this a dark chocolate brown...
white would make it pop and over power the side yard...
I want it to fade in a bit and be a surprise when you walk through the yard...
front flower bed...
so delicate...
and so hearty...
like us girls...
and they bloom where ever you plant them...
the humming birds love these...
all you hear are mowers anymore...
the rains and warm weather are making it impossible to keep up...
and right before we came in...
the sun popped out...
for about 10 minutes...
and then it hid away again...
our green pepper plants...
going to mud them in tomorrow...
its been a long day...
just waiting around for the sun to come out...
and briefly, it did...
but there are stars out tonight...
so I am hoping to wake to sunshine in the morning...
its been so long, it seems...
God's blessings to you and yours...
and I hope you get some sunshine in, too...
it won't be long till the hot days of summer are upon us...
so just take the time to enjoy spring...
;)
Tete those are columbine aren't they-so pretty and I didn't know that hummingbirds loved them. I wonder if they'd do well this far north? Glad you got a glimpse of sun anyway-at least you know it's still there somewhere. ;-)

the morning was pretty but it is now raining again! My ferns still are not up, just the crowns. But my dahila is back and my lilies are up too!
ReplyDeleteTete, I am crying with this song.. I can only imagine..
ReplyDeletelooks like such a huge lot.. I feel sorry for hubby so much work...
now I am staying here till this song is done...
have a blessed day.
After having sunshine for much of the day, we once again had showers this afternoon. The rain is helping everything turn green around here. It is hard to mow when the grass is so wet.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful Tuesday evening!
