started on the shed yesterday morning...
not very pretty...
but functional...
and we can walk in it again...
I made this, probably 17 years ago...
one of my favorite patterns...
I cut the wood out myself back in those days...
sold all of them by this one...
then we went to the south side of the yard...
and there were 5 of these blocks to do...
so the guys hauled and Craig laid them...
tomatoes are growing...
onto the next project....
there is a concrete patio that was here when we moved here...
and its where we have been storing the things for projects...
and its full of this...
so cleaned that off...
and washed the metal chairs...
and this morning, after the shopping run...
we put the picnic table over here...
(DH and I had a fire last night and burnt all of the yard debris)
and we transplanted a fern to here...
and may add some more...
its just always been missing something...
then we moved things around on the deck...
and took a blower to all of it...
we have blue tarps on the back of the deck to keep the rain out...
it just pours in...
trying to decide to close it in permanently or not...
in the meantime, I have been looking for white tarps...
no luck so far...
and a few things are blooming here...
another color of iris...
opened inside the hanging wire basket...
and the columbine are still going...
they are about half done now...
and the clematis is just awesome this year...
I do believe a few of these growing up the front of the deck would be so pretty...
there are so many colors to choose from, too...
its been a long, but productive weekend...
our first one that was warm with no rain...
Bebe's favorite neighbor...
and Mr Wiggles likes her, too...
she live next door and will soon be gone for the summer...
a few of us will miss her...
she is 6...
we also took the blower and blew off everything we could...
watered some of the plants...
its super hot for us today...
the guys also cut a mulberry out of one of our walnuts and hauled it off...
just a lot of cleaning and moving, but it makes a difference...
still more to do and trying to get caught up so when the dry spells come...
we can get to the painting...
we grabbed breakfast this morning at the golden arches...
and took it to the park to eat...
sat where we could see the sun dance on the water...
it was a peaceful time...
hope you had a great weekend...
I know this is graduation time for so many...
and next weekend will be busy for everyone, too...
school will be out for the summer...
summer...
big sigh...
and so it begins...
;)
My goodness! You certainly did have a productive week-end! Did you ever stop?
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a busy time around here for those who have high school graduates. Our school year begins by the second week of August, so by now, it feels like it has been a long year.:-)
I hope you are having a good Sunday evening and will have a good beginning to the week!
Have you ever tried rooting Clematis?
ReplyDeleteThey say it can be done, and I'd love to spread them around.
Looks as if there was lots of work going on there this weekend. Looking really good.
