another job...done...

the dreaded junk pile...
before...........and after...
this is what you see from the road...

before..............and after...
what's behind it all...
and no snakes!
I was delighted and surprised...
the wagon is full of wood for the fire pit...
and we don't need the dog cat house until fall...
there used to be a shed out here...
but in one of those fun, wild storms...
it landed in the field one winter...
and that's all there was to that...

got up this morning and this guy was mad...
not much feed out there...
so, on the way to the pile, we stopped and loaded them up again...

it drizzled right before we headed out, but it soon quit...
my online weather source said the rain would be coming in around 2pm...
they lied...

its raining in this shot...

this belonged to my father in law...
a coaster bike...
going to strip all the 'new' gadgets off of it and paint it pink...

we pitched a lot of junk...
trimmed trees, raked and did a general clean up...
and the rain got harder, so we came in, got showers and ate lunch...
as soon as I got out of the shower...
the sun came out...
of course...

just took a walk and we have bean greens...

and day lilies...

and the next generation of bean greens...

this one is big enough to pick...

rose of sharon is budding...

and we have been cleaning inside...
laundry...
and playing with babies...
on hard food and water now...
and they are cranky...
but they get over it and play and run around...

I am heading in to take a nap soon...

DH is already there...

I am pretty sure Craig will follow, too...

its still in the 70s here...

baby tomatoes...
it won't be long until we are eating as much as we want of these...

everything is pretty wet...
we got half an inch of rain yesterday...
and then more this morning...

and the junk will leave in the morning...

and that's how we do Sundays on the prairie...
get it done so we can lie around...
have a good one!
;)

  2. You guys are such hard workers! The yard and garden look great. I too am looking forward to homegrown tomatoes. Your bean greens look fantastic! Aren't these 70 degree temps wonderful? Such a relief, and so nice not to have to use the a/c.

  3. What a wonderful day you had, Tete. You got lots done and had energy left over- such a switch from last winter when you were so sick. Your "junk" pile looks pretty darned good now. Your plants are as amazing as always, too. Hope you have a good night- xo Diana
