fun stuff around here today...

have you ever bought yourself something for CHRISTmas?
well, I did this year...
while shopping for everyone else, I found these...
I got 2 for me and 2 for Doug's gf, Paula...
one of hers is like this one...

and then I couldn't leave this one behind...
so guess where I found them?
and they are stretched canvas...
Walmart...
for under $4 each...
go check out their home department...
and not online...
right by the candles...

been cleaning the living room and packing up most of the CHRISTmas in there...
trees are still up, until next weekend...
the guys like them up for New Year's eve...
Bebe and Lester are taking a nap now...

Craig is on his laptop...

our winter mantle...

sneaking some spring in there where I can...

Hermie is on my new throw from Doug and Paula...
its really warm, fleece inside...
I guess the brown recliner and my throw make a good kitty bed...

DH went to the doctor this morning and he said bursitis doesn't usually show up on xrays...
and he has his doubts about it...
that the predizone is masking the symptoms and he could start hurting again once he finishes them...
hopefully, the ER dr was right and there isn't something worse going on in there...
he goes back to work tomorrow, but its only a half day with the holiday...
and then a day off and finish the week with only 2 days...
maybe it will give him the slow start back and rest in between until he is better...

cold here again today...
sure looking forward to the warmer days and lazy afternoons on the porch...
maybe I'l just go find a sunspot to nap in...
;)

  1. I love the Home canvas.. I am definitely checking out Walmart for that one.....I hope I can find it.. I feel for DH... I take the shots and as soon as they wear off....ohhh the pain.. it hits again... I am in need of a shot for this year. I find it so hard to sleep at night and to walk.. start to limp when the pain is bad..I pray he can find true answers to the problem... I do know bursitis.. Its terribly painful!!! Take care of yourselves and the kitties are precious.. Blessings!

  2. I truly hope the bursitis diagnosis was correct, though I know from experience how painful that can be! When our twins were six months old, I had bursitis in both shoulders. No fun, but so good to know it wasn't something more serious. xo

  3. Hoping for healing and not something serious, it seems both doctors need to look at same xrays.
