we were back under all those pines...
and the bathroom was really close...
Alan grabbed DHand pushed him down to the water while we were waiting on the food to cook...
DH pushed me down to the water before most of the people showed up...
and I did stay out of the lake...
and my chair is safe...
it was almost like glass...
and it wasn't too bad out there...
not many showed up...
but we still had a good time...
geese...
this isn't good for fishing for bluegill...
your lines get snagged up on stuff like that...
the water is clear, for here...
much of the time its so muddy you can't see anything...
pretty...
Eli and his dad...
he had just smacked his dad in the back of the head...
he wanted to play some more...
there's a crabby camper...
but the food was ready...
the lid had some technical difficulties...
coming for the food...
my DH and Alan...
Eli...
and the eating began...
the cookout was for 3 elevators, so there should have been a lot more people...
but those of us that did go...
had fun...
and it wasn't that far from home...
we were there over 3 hours...
;0)
both guys are working today...
got laundry going...
vacuumed the living room...
steamed the kitchen floor...
played with Charlie...
and need to see about doing lunch soon...
it keeps clouding up like its going to rain...
then the sun pops back out...
then it clouds up again...
just can't make up its mind...
;0)
waiting on the mower guy to come...
and hoping the humidity goes down a bit...
got a breeze back today...
have a fun day and good weekend!
Tete, that is a beautiful place to picnic. Good thing you weren't pushed into the lake. ...ewweee . Maybe people didn't show up because of other plans being Friday night. Hope you and your fellows enjoyed yourselves. It's trying to get sunny here now at 2:20pm. It's been rainy /cloudy all morning. I went to the grocery.Gaaaaa. Hate that place. LOL. Blessings for a fun evening and bright Sunny Sunday . xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Tete, glad you got some photos of the park and lake, it looks so calm and peaceful. Our weather here in southwest Missouri is also like yours with winds coming and going. I've had a bad flareup of Fibro these past few days, skin burning has been so bad it has slowed me down, sometimes it just wears me down. Thanks for sharing your photos, they are always good ones and I enjoy your blog a lot. Give Charlie a hug!
ReplyDeleteEli, is that the little boy from last years picnic, that you did the photos of, later on?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and glad the weather cooperated , and you didn't sail halfway across that water before your wheelchair went down..
what great weather you had! and what a beautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteoh those water shots!!!!
