what a day!

we were cleaning the kitchen today, and I looked up and saw this...
well, we had a pretty visitor today...

romping in the bean field...
I looked for mama, but didn't see her...

someone was lost...
but I did hear a commotion in the tree line between us and the railroad...

that's all the photos I got...
baby Bambi went into our yard...
so we headed out, to turn it back to the field...
goofy was heading for the highway...
sent Craig around behind the neighbor's across the street...
I said all you have to do is yell and wave your arms and it will turn and run...
and it did...

not sure if it found its mom or not...

but here are some shots around the yard this evening after supper...

we took a walk and then walked back to check the garden...

coleus will get planted this weekend...

anyway, I found these...
so I started picking...

the garden is really ahead of time this year...
loving the hot and humid...

and I got enough for a mess...
so they are on the stove...
with potatoes and bacon...
and they smell really good...

I sat at the picnic table and broke the beans...
and it sprinkled a few times on me...
but the view was awesome...
so many things happening in the yard now...
and so much more to come...
I love this time of the year...
;)
have a peaceful night...

  2. Tete, Those are great photos of the fawn. He still had spots so I assume he is a fawn. Your flowers are so pretty. Beans already, wow. That is so nice to be able to enjoy things.Blessings to you and your fellows for a great 4th. xoxo,Susie

  3. Oh Tete, your photos always bring a smile to my day! The little fawn was adorable, I could even count the spots. Your gardens are producing very well, and your day lillies are just gorgeous. Mine are not as pretty, just single yellow petals. Just this morning I had to deadhead them hoping they will bloom again very soon. We also had to cut our roses way back, last years hard winter destroyed some limbs clean down to the dirt. Then we lost two trees in the last storm. Thanks for sharing your photos and your day, it is always a pleasure to come over and visit!

  4. I like the photo of your fawn so much better than the one we saw on the road the other day.
Your flowers look wonderful. The beans are perfect! Such a peaceful place you have to enjoy, Tete.
Summer sure has been good for you so far, huh?
    Love you.
