we are still doing those last, hazy days of summer...
heat indexes are over 100 and the humidity is out of this world...
but the last two evenings have brought some strong storms with gusts of winds that have taken limbs and lines down...
we lost power for over 4 hours last night...
who can sleep without a fan?
too many noises going on for me...
I have had my hands full of babies and bottles...
poopy butts and all that...
got butt suckers again...
so they are all in little waste baskets away from each other...
the sedum began blushing this week...
and more mums are opening...
roses are fading...
and the autumn clematis is in full bloom...
the storms sure have taken the leaves out of the trees...
and we are getting a used van this week...
and letting the car go...
and at the end of the week...
we are fostering this little girl...
6 year old Abby...
comes from some pretty bad abuse...
and she needs gentle men to help her heal...
they thought of my guys right away...
;)
and she will be with us for a bit...
we are a couple weeks out of harvest...
but Craig made it through back to college days...
7 days straight with just today off and he hits it again...
seems like the weeks are just flying by...
and not getting a lot done...
but God has been so good to us...
;)
we so need to get some yard work done, but that will happen when it happens...
you know how it goes...
the older litter of kitties are going home this weekend...
that will leave me with 4 instead of 7...
but adding a wolfer...
can you keep up?
I'm just barely...
so, love you girls...
and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every day...
even if I don't have time to stop in...
God bless you Tete for being a foster mommy to the little ones. Your yard is so pretty, I envy your shade! We lost two trees in a storm last spring so our shade is spotty. Our grass is crunchy and turning brown in this horrible heat. We are watering our trees and bushes because they are wilting and turning brown. We need rain so bad! We got about 15 minutes of rain last night and the ground just soaked it up, no puddles anywhere! I pray for the workers who have to be outside!
ReplyDeleteOh Abby is a pretty girl, and I hope she does well in your care. It is dry and crunchy here, but I keep watering the tubs, becaues I found some new colors of Marvel of Peru in them this week.
ReplyDeleteSaving every seed that pops out of those 3 plants.
Tete, I have been missing you. I knew you were probably busy with critters. :):) The heat can be exhausting can't it? Wishing all of you blessings, xoxo,Susie
