has finally come into its own...
this is the first year that it has had this many blooms on it...
it is a very pale one...
almost white, but not quite...
and it looks pretty in front of the iris...
it is blooming after the regular lilacs are finished...
I might pick up another one later on...
if I find one on sale at the end of the season...
this one is 8-10 years old...
can't really remember for sure...
I think I need to keep a journal of when we plant major things...
getting old and just cannot remember well when all the years start running together...
;0)
we have been blessed with another wonderful day...
cloud covered and a 70% chance of rain, but so far, we have gotten nothing...
we were able to work in the south side of the yard and made some progress...
DH also got the hedge clippers out and trimmed back the evergreen by the drive way...
Craig parks the truck there...
and that bush literally took the side mirror off of it a couple days ago...
well, its not completely off...
the cable was still holding it on...
I grabbed the duck tape and taped it back upright until we can get it into the shop and get another one put on...
;0)
I pulled bucket after bucket of those crazy maple whirly gigs out of the flower beds today...
wish I had a big shop vac to vacuum the lawn!
its the worst that I have ever seen!
there are still 3 flats of flowers to plant...
not sure where Craig is going to put them all...
I hate to admit this, but I am tired of planting them!
he bought way too many!
we are slowly knocking things off of the to do list, but still have more to go...
its going to look good when we get it done...
maybe I just have too many ideas?
nah....
;0)
have a good weekend!
Your flowers are very pretty. We have had more rain than usual and all the flowers are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteTete, I love the way that lilac is shorter than the irises. They look wonderful together. My mom had a white lilac in the back yard and three huge purple ones in the front yard. I love all your pretty flowers. Good thing you have Craig to help you. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteTete...it's beautiful! I love that flower bed...it looks so good! I can't wait to see more pics of your yard...:)
ReplyDeleteThat little dwarf lilac is just beautiful. I am thrilled that you got so much done, Tete. It is finally spring here, too! Whoo Hoooo! Love it.
