from the garden...

it sorta looks like fall, doesn't it?
the green bean plants were tired...
but we did get five pickings off of them...

Craig and I headed out yesterday morning to pull the green bean plants and plant another crop of them...
didn't take us long at all...
I have never planted 2 crops of them before and hoping they have time to make before fall happens...

those tired old planters that someone was going to throw away have sure come in handy...
and this container garden is working for me...
so might just find time to spruce those planters up before next year...

that's a baby watermelon!
we found 2 of them yesterday morning...
grown in a container, they have reached the ground...

peppers are coming along...
and there are several on each plant now, with more to follow...
in containers...

the tomatoes are doing good, considering all the cooler nights we have had the past month...

the tomato plants are as tall as Craig...

wasn't too bad of a day...
not hot, but a little sticky out there...

half way cloudy all day, but no rain...
not until after dark...

we got some morning glories growing in the corn behind us...

and one single sun flower...
that's facing north...
(the wrong way)

so there you go, as promised...
a view of the garden...
I know my beds and garden aren't looking so good this year...
too much rain and not able to get into them to get things done...
and just forget about transplanted anything or rearranging..
too darn muddy for that...

heard we are going to have a really warm winter...
would be nice to have some warmer days and not as much snow...
maybe we can get caught up them...
;0)

have a fun day and do something special for yourself...
;0)

  2. Your container garden seems to be the best, best, best way to go!!!

On and those (is it?) colius? with red-ish and green leaves... those little things growing up from them? I would not be able to keep from pinching them off, as soon as they appeared. -grin- It's like a compulsion with me. And I think it keeps them growing and bushy. Sort of like dead-heading flowers.

Mmmmm, is it too far, for me to sneak over at night, and have great fun, pinching off all of them???????????????? -grinnnn-
