been trying to catch up after taking a day off and then taking a sick day...

and here it is the middle of the week already...
didn't have to do this today...

we finally got some rain...

just a third of an inch last night...

but there's a 50% chance tonight again...

the corn is drying out in the fields now...

and there's that rustling sound happening...

the fall flowers are starting to happen...

I have been having a hard time finding the pretty in things the last few weeks...

I just wasn't seeing it like I usually do...

so I prayed for it back...

and grabbed my camera and out I went...

its been here all along...
I just didn't see it...

got leaves down already...

I like sedum...
need to thin this out and spread it around more...

this knock out is getting its tail feathers cut way back this fall...
it has not produced very well this year...

this is what we did with the bricks we hauled home...

we will let this settle through the winter...
then pull them up and put sand under them in the spring...

we had 70s today...
a nice break from the hot...

had a coyote walk right through the middle of the yard just before noon today...

I was over here picking tomatoes...

Craig walked around the back of the house...
and there it was...

a great big one...

went into the corn field...

those are green bean blooms...

I am not where I was a year ago...
I have lost some ground...

planting hoes...
I will let you know when I put the hardware store out of business...

these are the kind of clouds we have had today...

so going to be working on me more...
if there are not a lot of posts sometimes...
just know I need the time to do what I need to...
to get back going again...
so I feel better...
and can do more...
;0)

  1. I'm so glad you took your camera out for a walk, such beautiful flowers and colours. It is brown here, everything that should be green in dead. If we had temps in the 70's I would have to dig out a sweater! We have never been through a drought such as this and the heat...I never thought I could tire of summer but this year has worn me out.
It sounds as if you need to take care of yourself, being new here I am not fully aware of your difficulties but I will send up good thoughts and pray for healing light to touch your life. take care
