its warming up...

just got breakfast done...
still trying to wake up...

Craig is off and we are hauling more brick this morning...
before the sun gets over head...

I have plenty to do inside, should it prove to be to nasty out there...

the mornings are pretty humid yet...
but have no idea where its all coming from...

monarch butterfly caterpillars on milk weed...
there is a movement gaining momentum here on planting milk weed...
to gain the butterflies...
people are growing it in town in their flower beds...

Bender, the baby kitten...
started eating hard food and lapping water on his own yesterday...

no more bottles for that big boy, now...
I am just pouring his formula on the moist food when I feed him...

by the end of next week he might even be ready to go...

can you see yourself walking this path?
it leads to a creek...

hoping to get some more beds done this weekend...
I kind of like having things done a little earlier than normal...
it looks so much better, too...
we have a bunch of walnuts to pick up...
got to do that before the mowing can begin...

I think it might be time to clean the deck off again, too...
how can one place collect so much stuff?
when it cools off next month, I want to start doing more bon fires in the pit...
and sitting out in the dark...
I am ready for flannel and sweat shirts...
but I am so not ready for the 3 months of snow and ice that will follow that...
;0)

school starts here next week...
the college kids are starting to trek back in...
shopping in Charleston will not happen for a couple weeks...
it gets crazy down there...
so if we go, it will be toward Paris...
and Burger King...
I know, just breaks my heart, too...
;0)

  1. I'm reading that you are warming up, there. And husband is reading to me, from paper, that we are due for a warm up again! Weather surely travels from west to east!

Walking down the path, to a creek!!!!!!! Purrrrrrrrrfect!!! I love creeks, streams, etc. Small-ish flowing water. Yesssss!!!!

But by now, my olden bod would not take me to such places, easily. ,-) So please keep showing pics of such, around your area. And I know, you are taking your pics, out the car window, like I take my pics.!

    Gentle hugs,
    Tessa

  2. Tete, I love your farm pictures. The horses are beautiful. I just love them. I was happy to see your caterpillar and to hear that people in your town are growing milkweed for them. Take care and try to stay cool. Blessings for a fun weekend. xoxo,Susie
