we have had a very soggy weekend...
and May 1st came in with a bang...
literally...
got roses coming on...
the veggie garden...
is sad...
needs work in the worst way...
we waited all day for late afternoon...
that's when the rain clouds went away and we could see some blue...
cotton wood fluff and helicopters...
they're everywhere...
so I did get out for a small walk about...
and see how high the weeds are at the end of the street...
came back in and unloaded the photos...
decided to edit later and went into facebook...
wasn't more than 10 minutes or so...
and kaboom!
then this...
it started out as rain and then the banging happened...
marble sized hail...
then it got worse...
and bigger...
golf ball size hail...
and it fell for 15 minutes...
and the sound of it on the tin roof was more than deafening...
we got 1.1 inches in that 15 minutes...
and everything was flooded for awhile...
until the water went down...
and everything is covered with debris...
as soon as it quit...
the sun was poking through again...
and the rainbow appeared...
but we are ok, the house and cars are fine...
nothing happened but a good plastering...
;0)
and the noise...
the noise...
the noise...
;0)
we sure had some terrified critters here...
they went into hiding and didn't come out for awhile...
;0)
so, did you get the hail this weekend?
that was some crazy weather!!!
ReplyDeleteTete, Yikes, scary. I am afraid of hail...tears things up. Ted and I went to the basement (Sunday) night. Tornado warnings thru our area. We have a TV with rabbit ears in the basement also. The dish was working in a storm. We stayed in the basement 20 minutes till it all went thru. No touch down and not damage..so thankful. I hope your flowers and things weren't torn up. I am ready for some calm nice pleasant weather. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
