spring?

its sure felt like it!

the boys loved being outside yesterday...

it got up to 64!

we had to be at the clinic to do bloodwork yesterday morning...

we were there when they opened at 7...

ate breakfast after and did some shopping...

we were home by 9...

cleaned off the deck after lunch and got the guys out for a walk...

we took a drive, too...

out through the country...

and into the state park just north of here...

it's a nice winter break...

back to our normal winter temps on Thursday...

slowly cooling down the next few days...
I hate to say it...
but I am not ready for spring...

now, before you boo me out of here...

let me explain...
I realized that I need some more down time...
after the last 3 months of go, go, go...
I do need a little time to just do nothing...
because the yard is going to be a major thing to get cleaned up this spring...
that winter not only lets the earth rest...
its lets us old farts take a breather, too...
and y'all know I'm an old fart...
;o)
the day of sunshine and warmth and being out there...
did this girl some good...
I am looking forward to a week of down time...
just basic needs type stuff going on...
no more closets to organize...
no washing walls...
just normal day to day stuff...
and maybe so fun stuff in the playroom!

hope your Saturday was super warm...
and bunches of fun...
will be posting the rest of the photos through the rest of the week!

  1. Tete, Your pictures look like it does around here also. We had a beautiful day yesterday. I am hoping things don't wake up too early here...when winter will be returning. Glad you are resting and taking care of yourself. Blessings for a nice week ahead. xoxo, Susie

  2. I agree, us old farts need more time! Glad you got out Tete, your photos are beautiful! There is something about water that makes me feel good inside. I grew up on the river so it also brings back lots of memories of walks by myself along the banks, stopping to take in the beauty that God has been so kind in giving us here on Earth. Your photos are a gentle reminder of the peace we all share, no matter what the "black box" is aying. Have a restful week!

  3. Those are great, great photos, Tete. You do take excellent photos!!! Glad you got so much done this winter so far...and I am sure you will get some more 'down' time yet---way too early for Spring, I think. I know we won't see any here for almost 3 months yet. Hope you have a great upcoming week. xo Diana
