with the nightly rain, it happened...
it wasn't up yesterday morning...
and the sun popped through the clouds briefly after supper last night...
so we took a quick drive to see what we could find...
the green is filling in more and more...
and the water is flowing again in between the fields...
and the prairie grasses are growing and need mowing...
but there is no time until the planting is done...
and this is our resident blue heron...
showed up here a few years ago...
lost, confused and it just hangs around...
must like prairie life...
I wonder if its heard of google maps?
DH is off for the weekend!
not sure what we will do...
but it will be slow and easy...
some lazy shopping and lunch out at least one day...
laundry and housework the rest of the time...
too wet to play outside too much...
so...
a much needed slower pace for us...
have a great weekend!
WOW--Our fields aren't even planted yet and you have corn that is up and growing. CRAZY. Can't wait to get more things growing here. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteTete, The field across from us just got planted in corn on Wed. Iowa's doing well already. LOL. I love that wonderful picture of the blue heron. He is so grand. Have a good weekend...we will have rain and storms. Hopefully not flooding. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Tete, Wow, that's amazing that the plants are already coming up! We have snow here today, it started yesterday and has continued. So much for my beautiful Tulips outside; I took in three plants and put them inside. I'm worried about my Hydrangeas and whether it will impact them, they are just started to show some growth.
