finally got out there and rode around the country side this past weekend...
its been awhile since we have had the time to do it...
so much work going on around here...
we did get the house washed down and the ferns and hydrangea cut back on the north side of the house...
got our closet and the entry closet cleaned out, too...
we have had some nice weather but its so dry here...
the farmers are a week or two out of picking...
they have been getting ready...
they do test picks to have the moisture checked...
this one was at 24...
that would take some drying, so waiting another week on it...
18 is perfect...
starting the fall house cleaning inside now...
the days are much shorted and the evenings are really cool...
the mornings are nippy...
we have a 50% chance of rain today...
and I hope we get something...
its been 2 weeks since we mowed and I don't think its going to need it this week...
devastated by the images we have seen of the hurricanes, fires and earthquakes...
so many having to start all over again...
but I do love the amazing spirit of those who just wade in there and help whoever needs them at the time...
people coming from all over the country to pitch in and make a difference...
loads of clothes and supplies getting to who needs them...
its not going to get better for them over night...
its going to take some time to clean up, clear out and start building again...
what a mess it is...
praying for all of them...
well, need to clean the living room...
7 babies have tore it up again...
I have to get the last 5's photos this week so we can post them...
they are ready...
have a good week...
stay out of trouble...
and be thankful for you have...
:0)
Tete, Glad you got outside and had a fun drive around your area. The crops are browning up here also. Tete...the truth is many more people need to show that they too have grit. I would help if I were close enough. I'll just have to make donations. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
