have you ever been in a funk?...

well, shame on me, I sure was...
and my poor bf, Rebecca , had to listen to my poor me junk...
after she had worked all day in retail...
on BLACK FRIDAY!
bad, bad me...
sorry, girl friend...
I so owe you now...
my guys ate supper...
and then parked their keisters in front of the tv...
what?...
if you think I was in the mood to deck something then...
well, let me tell you...
they are so lucky to be this side of Heaven ...
anyway, I blew my top to my bf...
and then I tore apart the mantel...
I just took junk from one spot and put it on the table...
no where to go with it...
too much junque in my house!...
need to empty a Christmas tub to store this stuff in...
but I was cranky and got this sore throat thing happening...
so I took cold meds and went to bed...
so here I am up now in the middle of the night...
I did the puter thing...
so I blog hopped...
that didn't help...
everyone posting all this cool stuff...
great ideas, by the way!...
so I went over and sat down at the table...
ever the mindful blogger, I took the camera...
and I started with these two vases...
in the free cycle stuff...
cost- 0 dollars...
then I moved onto the birdcage I bought from Cheryl's esty shop online...
Zany Mayd on my sidebar...
she's running a sale right now, by the way...
plug, plug...
and I have these little clamp on birds...
so one went in here...
then I moved onto a floral in the urn on the left...
also from Cheryl...
love her to death!...
and then the star my bf found for me rummaging...
ok...
that looked good...
and then there are these new brass candle sticks...
2 of them...
free cycle- 0 dollars...
just put 2 ornaments on them upside down...
done...
the best way to get rid of the funk is to create something out of something you already have...
the best shopping is done at home...
I will post photos of the finished mantel when I get it put together...
Steve has to make a wally world run in the morning for lights for the tree in the living room...
I have decided to put the purple halloween lights that are on the deck on my kitchen tree...
ooh...
awww...
yeah...
later!

  1. hope you get to feeling better,I understand the too much junk. Sometimes I get overwhelmed putting out christmas because I too have to empty out a bin to fill it up with other stuff!

  2. Morning Tete- Hope you are feeling a bit better now that you have "started" decorating for the Holidays. I so get it- I am in most of these home "adventures" by myself. MyHero is not a very good elf when it comes to helping around the house. His Mother never made "the boys" do anything so after 36 years of trying to "train" him-I have given up. It is just easier to do it myself. However, I am in pretty good physical health at this time in my life so I am blessed that I am ABLE to do those things myself.

I TOTALLY understand your frustration, Tete. I hope today you get LOTS of help. I am fighting something too and my voice is gone this morning (and all the husbands in the world just said Amen)>) Hugs-Diana

  3. LOL, Tete honey, you crack me up! I know you wanted to deck them instead of the halls! I would too. Who DOESN'T get in those moods once in awhile, especially at the Holidays. But you were quite productive. I get in those moods and just veg out. Hugs, Nan
