my Pink Saturday post this week is this photo that was originally black and white...
and then was colored...
pink...
this is me at 6 months old...
it's in a vintage gold frame...
with another photo of me...
that my grandmother kept on the dresser...
my mother had taken me to get my picture done...
she always had photos taken until I started school...
Here is a little song she used to sing to me...
many years ago...
Oh little playmate,
Come out and play with me
Bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree
Look in my rain barrel
Slide down my cellar door
And we'll be jolly friends forever more
Oh, little playmate
I can't come out and play
My dolly's got the flu
Boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo
Ain't got no rain barrel
'Ain't got no cellar door
But we'll be jolly friends forever more
dreamin' this Saturday of days gone by...
Happy Pink Saturday!

I love your photos and how precious that your sweet grandma kept it all those years, and it came back to you to love for just as many more.

I remember that song, Tete. There's clapping that goes along with it, and if my husband was home right now, I would have to make him join in so that I could remember it all! Oh, and you were definitely a Pretty In Pink little girl!
