busy kind of day...

well, for some of us anyway...

Doug got here at the crack of dawn...
woke me up and I told him I had been up with the storms that had come through and I needed a couple more hours of sleep...
so DH got up with him...

then I could not get moving at all...
so Doug went shopping with his dad today...

and Craig got me going again...

and we walked outside and did PT inside...

and just look at all the amazing things going on here...

bee...

neighbor's yard...
but mine is just a yellow...

Boofy and  Mr Wiggles playing king of the steps...

these old elm trees make me happy...

and I hope who ever buys these lots...
has the sense to keep them...

trees are getting their leaves...

and the neighbor's lilacs are wonderful...

they were supposed to be yellow...

took 7 years for them to bloom...

and they're not yellow...
she's not happy...

maple leaves...

this is going out there somewhere soon...

from last year...

egg...

ok, here's your April Fool's joke...
you asked for it and now you're sorry you did...

Craig and I laid out in the grass for a bit...

and look at what happened...

the breeze was blowing and the sun was shining...

and the dog was  doing his best to kill the dandy lions...

and when the guys got back they brought back Burger King...
me and my boy had whoppers..
yep...
we did...
the other 2 did cheese burgers and fish...
yeah...
that's what Doug wanted for his birthday meal...
so that's what we did...
and we got him a new digital camera...
and he was thrilled...
it even came with the battery charger...
and batteries...
so he is already to go...

I have got an ear ache and sore throat, so Tuesday I am calling for an appointment with my favorite doctor...
I think I need antibiotics again...
this weather is so good about that...
especially when dingy people leave the windows open at night when its supposed to be in the 40s...
duh...

  1. Well, for not wanting to get up it sounds like you had a pretty busy day! I love that they boys "get you going". I see you have rosy cheeks from working outside..either that or you have been hitting the blush!

Sometimes it is kind of nice to have them go do a "pick up" and bring it home. Do you know I cannot eat a Whopper without getting sick? I think it has MSG or some preservative in it that bothers me...and I love the char broiled taste of them.

We are having a pretty quiet day here. It was a long day for me yesterday and I am feeling it today. I made a small ham and scalloped potatoes and green beans and have enough left over for tomorrow.

Hope you can sleep tonight! xo Diana

  2. What a beautiful day you had, Tete!
I LOVE that picture of you!!!!
Spent the weekend with my girls and their families. I'm pooped. But had a great time.
I can't believe how far your flowers are ahead of ours up here. Funny how just a few hours will make such a big difference.
    Time for bed for me.
    Hugs.

  3. Hey little sis, love the picture of you, glad you thought it was an April Fools Joke, because it is a blessing to see your face.
Tell your neighbor to dig those lilacs up and send them south, I'd love them just the way they are. I finally had to dig out the last one, it was so scraggly and was dying. Couldn't have been the dogs causing it.....Sounds like a great day to me.
    Hugs

  5. Hope you are NOT sick...we got some low temps in the night hours too, and have had a couple of thunder/lightning storms...but yesterday was NICE!!!! went out on the porch and walked around looking for more things in the back yard...I found out I have a WHITE LILAC by the garage out front! about 8 feet tall! WOOT...I was sad about leaving the purple one behind....such a surprise. Found out there's a good size pink azalea bursting...bleeding hearts, three more mystery plants and a tree that looks like it's gonna bloom white, but don't know yet what it is. Not good at identifying by the leaves. Some of the ferns are standing over 3 feet tall. wow...And I DO HAVE dandy Lions too...got to go out and slay those things this week. Like the April Fool's photo! :-) Sounds like a Delish birthday feast to me. ;-) Hope your Monday is great Tete, and you don't get worse... {{hug}} xo
