its Friday!

the iris are really showing their stuff this morning...
I was afraid none of the photos would come out...
it is so windy and chilly again today...
they were just bobbing around like mad...

which one doesn't belong?
which one isn't like the others?
can you spot the grinning "bloomer"?
I love his little grin...
he was saying something like...
"DON'T BLOG ME!"
but you know that wind was so strong, it really drowned it out, so I am not sure what he was saying...
(it was the only place he could find out of the wind)
Craig woke me at 3am really sick...
he had a sinus headache and started throwing up...
but he seems so much better now...
it doesn't matter how old you get...
when you're sick,  you still want your mom...

I love this color so much...
but I really would like some different colors...
still, these are so pretty in the spring...

mower guy came yesterday afternoon and it looks so good out there...
I miss the baseball and kickball games that used to happen out here almost every day...
but my kids grew up...
the neighbor kids grew up and moved away...
just not the same anymore...
the mower hasn't hit a baseball in years!
used to have a bushel basket sitting just inside the front door full of baseball mitts and a gallon bucket full of balls...
even if we weren't home, the door was never locked and the kids knew where they were...
and they always put them back when they were done...
the bats and bases were in the shed...

just wanted to show you the new bird cage I bought off of Rebecca last week...
she had it listed on a facebook garage sale site...
I fell in love as soon as I saw it...

it is so pretty...
and the bottom opens...
so you can stick things inside...

I still love silk florals...
and they last forever!
don't you just love it?
its going to be here for a long, long time...

well, not much going on around here...
laundry in...
one more load of whites to do...
need to make my bed...
lost another 2 pounds...
need to vacuum the kitchen and do lunch...
not sure what else...
but it depends on how I feel and what I start piddle fartin' around with...
I really don't think another walk is in the plans...

have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. It's unbelievable how your flowers are in full bloom! I have NOTHING!!
Our growing season here is SO short! Even with the warm spell we had.
I'm glad your water came back on so you could get your laundry done.
I'm also glad your little boy is feeling better. They always need their mom...especially when they are sick. My girls still call when they don't feel well. That's what moms do...make kids feel better.
    Blove ya.

  3. It is always so nice to come here and see how your day has played out, Tete! I know how much even grown up kids want their Momma. Mine always call me when they are sick...just to tell me they are sick...and I baby them over the phone.

Your flowers are so lovely...except that one that doesn't belong, is not like the others, seems to keep shifting places....kind of like a weed in the wind?

I had a good day here with YOUKNOWWHO and I now know more than any average person should know about anything and everything.

Isn't it great to see Debbie back? I have missed her dear soul!

    Blove to you- xo Diana

  4. Love Iris and wish I had a field full.
He didn't say not to blog him, I'm sure. I'll bet he said it was just fine to put his handsome smiling face in the top photo.
I have some black ones that I hope bloom next year, they've been transplanted, so won't this year.
If they make it, I'll dig you a baby one up and ship it over.
