praying for rain...

good morning...

its a good morning on the deck...

but we need some rain...

the yard is so dry...

so we are praying for rain...

the new weather forecasts show a chance tomorrow, but took it out for the weekend...

and even thought the sunshine is pretty...
we would like to sit out here and just watch it rain...

now, yesterday, we tore all of this out...

put the black cloth down and put it all back again...

the guys did 99.9% of the work...
but someone had to tell them how to do it...
I did 100% of that...
they have tried to fire me...
but I won't leave...
squatting rights...

the yard hasn't been mowed in almost 2 weeks now...
and except for the weeds, it could go another week...

got to head for the doctor in an hour...
maybe pick up a boston fern...
and of course, a whopper...
well, need to find some caffeine to get me going...
later...

  1. Hi Tete....your deck is beautiful, as well as your flowers. Would love to sit out there with you. There is nothing like a summer rainstorm. Hope you get one. We've got the heat here these next few days, and I hope some rain, too. Might be a long hot summer......
thanks for finding my new blog.
    Hugs and love,

  3. It's looking like a dry dry summer from where we're sitting isn't it? Well it's the first day and longest, so here's hoping for some rain everywhere, specially where there are fires burning right now...Hope you come home with good news from the Doctor, Tete. Hope you get some raindrops falling around your place. Everything you are doing continues to just look awesome...Hah...NO one can fire Tete the Great... ;-) She's out there Cracking the Whip! But look at the results guys..Imagine sitting around that fire pit on a chilly night this Fall....it will all be good. Happy Summer Solstice Tete. {{hugs}} xoxo

  4. I sure hope you get some rain soon, Tete! We finally had a nice big storm the other day, and some rain the day before that. But, with temps here in the mid 90's and higher, we still need more! Love your pretty covered deck, I am still admiring that awesome frame!!
