its a new world's record!

at approximately 0900 hours...
the mission began...

notice the lap blanket under the grill...
my idea...
no scratches...

meanwhile...
I came in to warm up...

and I popped in and out every now and then...

as the hours ticked away...

another check on progress...
still some parts to go...

but they kept at it...

and after studying the manual for hours last night...
DH still went by the book...
now, I am the kind of gal who can look at a picture and sit down and assemble it...
not DH...
you have no idea how hard it is for me to keep my mouth shut when he goes by the book...
no idea...
but I am getting better at it...
and instead of offering "ideas" on making things move along a little faster...
I took the job of screw girl when it was offered...
he would read off what he needed and I would count out the exact amount and with mouth firmly shut, hand them over...
and then I came back in again...

at around noon, 2 fellers walked into my house and announced the mission was complete and they were finished...
asstounded, to say the least...
I grabbed the camera and walked outside, only to find that they were not finished...
sure the grill was together...
(I picked it out)
but they had failed to do the clean up...
so they came back out and it was all put back in the box for trash guy to nab on Monday...
so there you go...
manual said 1 hour...
my guys did it in 3!
its a new record and they are proud...

so, since there was daylight left...
bwahahaha!
we got this done...

just itching to plant something...
and I think I need a frog sitting on that rock...

this is a water feature...
but the pump gave out and until I get another one...
it can sit here...
but, just might drill some holes in the bottom...
and plant some wave petunias in there...

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES:

1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

2.
AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

3.
FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

4.
A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

5.
IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

6.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

7.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

 DAILY THOUGHT:

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

we moved the tree...

into the kitchen yesterday while DH made a run to Walmart...
who's on top of your tree???
I think next year, she will be a bunny angel...

and this is one of the mini candy molds I picked up at Ninny's...

and Peter himself hangs on my tree...

along with some glittery eggs...

the top of the desk...
I just got that post card in yesterday...

you know how  you start to straighten up one place...
and then that leads to another?
and another?

the cotton wood is snowing...

it was blowing across the street into these...
usually it blows across our yard, but the wind was out of the east last night...

and this is DH's new grill...
remember the old one?
the yucky old one????
it went bye bye with the trash man 2 weeks ago...

check out how talented this man that I married is...
he can read spanish upside down and backwards...
Craig and I were impressed and told him it would be a blog moment for sure...
bwahahaha...
so you can guess what he  we will be doing today...
along with angel eggs- Craig renamed them...
and a sugar free chocolate cream pie...
we have a  couple things to plant...
and I would like to work on the end of the sidewalk where they cut and dug out that bush last week...
its been too wet to play there for awhile...

so pray for us and the grill...
for those who don't know...
DH is not handy...
at all...
and this will be interesting to say the least...
the manual says 1 hour assembly...
not here...
could end up being a 2 day job...
yeppers...
stay tuned...
Jettie, I wasn't kidding when I said I could use some help with the kitchen...
and why someone else is building the deck...
but I love him anyway...
check back- I'm taking the camera out with me...
would do a video, but I don't know how to bleep out the bad words...
later!
