vintage easter postcard images...

got a few more ready this morning...

these are embossed, hand painted or airbrushed...

I have seen them listed both ways...

every image was found online and then I take them, straighten them...
and I edit each and every one...
to bring out the beauty that was once there...

how they would have looked before time took it away...

even the borders are added...
these are my favorite to collect and I have several of my own...
but you have already seen them...

and then I decided to see what these embossed ones looked like in sepia tones...

how they would have started out before they were hand painted...

the hand painted varies so much from card to card...
there were good painters and bad painters...

these postcards, from the dates I have seen on them...
range from 1890s to 1910s...

so much detail work in some of them...

so, take what you want and use them this easter...
I still have more to post, so if these are not to your liking...
check back in later...

we are thawing out and its slushy out there...
beats the ice...
;)
be safe today

  2. Embossed post cards are new to me; these are very handsome and I see you have fixed them so they look good as new.

  4. Hi Tete, I just adore the antique penny postcards. I collect the ones that commemorate a holiday and sometimes tuck one in a customer's order. I always hope it gives them a smile. They are so beautiful
