last night my 'bridge' friend showed up right at the end of supper...
yelled in the door-'I've got something for you!'
I yelled back-'hope its not another bridge!'
but it wasn't one of those...
she brought me a lilac bush...
so we put it at the end of the tulip row...
that lines the front of the deck...
and I will be able to sit on the deck and smell the lilacs in a few years...
and when it dries out, we have to get this area worked into a flower bed...
I know, you're supposed to do the bed first and then put the flowers in...
well, it just didn't work out that way this time...
I love these words...
the hosta are up and growing...
the columbine are really filling out...
dark clouds over us today...
I am so creative, you wouldn't believe it!
the neighbor's lilacs, up close and personal...
the shots I took last week were with the zoom...
not today...
the iris opened a few more faces...
just pretty...
can you tell I love purple flowers?
this I needed when I found it...
I hope it touches your heart, too...
and bunch of the neighbor's lilacs on my porch...
it pays to travel with your pruners...
did I snitch them?
me?
nah, I had asked her a couple nights ago when we met on the road if I could have some...
she has taken my iris for years...
we got back from our morning walk just in time...
the wind picked up and the rain began...
Elmer is growing...
and he is so hyper...
and afraid of everything...
a jumpy little fart...
he played so hard out here this morning with the big guys...
and the finale...
the clematis opened this morning...
about 4 so far...
I need to get more of these...
doing inside fun things- not!
today...
you know the things...
laundry, cleaning...
napping...
whoa, napping's a good thing...
spring blessings to you...
hope we can get this rain out of the way so was can all have a sunny weekend!
;)
Love the lilac! We do the flower garden backwards, too.:-) It sounds like you have good neighbors!
ReplyDeleteTete I am glad you left a comment on my blog today so I can give you credit for telling me about the fabulous Fusion spray paint for lawn chairs. I am going to post a link to your blog on my post in a couple of minutes.
ReplyDeleteCaan't believe your Clematis bloomed before mine. I have a lavander one that has the 8 petals.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trip around your yard.
