we got up to a whopping 53F...
and there was plenty of sunshine to go along with it...
its what we all needed to get recharged again...
the winter has been so long and hard on most of us this year...
and by the end of the afternoon, there was still some snow, but that's ok...
another day or two of above freezing temps and it will be history...
Lester checking out the neighborhood Tom...
we believe its his father...
the meeting went ok, with a wild Tom even...
he must know its his son...
Hermie didn't get as close...
and there's still ice melt on the bricks...
washed paws when we got in...
Daphne over seeing the little ones...
and she just soaked up the rays...
there is plenty of mud out there...
but it beats snow and cold...
Bebe found mud...
I so thought of all of you up north...
with snow still on the ground...
and I soaked up some rays for you, too...
we have some 60s on the way...
right before the bottom falls out again and we get ice and snow...
but it will only be around a day and then right back into the 40s and 50s...
its like winter doesn't want to let go of us...
but for a moment, yesterday, he lost...
and it was so good...
Craig took me for a walk before lunch...
but DH wanted to go for one, too, when he got home...
it wasn't easy one handed...
but we made it half way down the street and back...
and as you can see, I still had time to play around with my blog again...
there's just something about a season changing that just makes you want to move things around...
change it up a bit...
today...
who knows...
laundry and maybe some moving things around inside...
maybe a trip to the dr's office...
got to have a chance to wake up first and let the caffeine kick in...
see what's working and what's not...
and go from there...
both guys are home this weekend...
you all have a blessed day...
;)
we had 60 yesterday, I got out and walked to mailbox, and to thd shop. Today is supposed to be warmer, too. Glad the wild tom didn't bother the kittens.
ReplyDeleteWe were in the lower 50's yesterday but lots of sunshine...my cats and dog were out most of the day too. The cats have been in all winter and are loving it outside.. I got them at the end of Fall as kitties.. so, the outside is an adventure and I think they like it.. I rescued them to have cats outside to take care of the varmits I do not like.. moles, mice and snakes...Glad you were out and about..It is still to wet to do much outside here. We still have a little snow and it is melting day by day.. Have a great one and enjoy the sunshine. Blessings!

ReplyDeleteTete, Whoa girl...I know you have been snowed in a loooong time this year. Just don't over do it. I laugh about all the cats and their relationships. :):) It is just great to see the ground again isn't it? I loved walking around outside yesterday, only in the drives. I sat on the porch and said my prayers, that was wonderful. It's mostly cloudy this morning...but I can deal with it since I know spring is coming quick. Blessings, take care Tete.xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteOh this is a happy post! I can feel your sense of winter losing its hold. :-) -happy sigh-
ReplyDeleteAnd such a very pretty new Blog Look! I simply love it. Both the sweet art and the old fashioned cursive writing, seen through..
Ya' know, I have never been able to make the post itself part of my blog, be see-through. Not ever when I click on the right tab. You use Awesome Template, and I use Picture Window. That must be the "why." Maybe... :-)
Gentle hugs,
Tessa~
We had 57 yesterday. Makes me happy just thinking about it. Glad to see your kitties are enjoying themselves outside!
ReplyDeleteI do believe that old man winter is gradually retreating....finally!!! It was 45 here yesterday and it felt fabulous! Cold and cloudy today, but at least things are still melting a bit. It's going to take us quite a while to melt these 4' snowbanks, but at least we're feeling like there's a light at the end of the tunnel, Tete! Enjoy your weekend, my friend!

I missed this post yesterday, Tete. I am so happy that you are feeling your old self again! It is nice to see some pillows out on your porch and I can't wait for you to be all set up to use it again- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteA kitten and his phamily. Aw....I love it! My sister Mary befriends all the neighborhood strays . One fellow she called "Rocky" and he came around a lot, beaten up by the bigger Tom's. Now she is sad because he doesn't visit. Sad. She has three indoor rescue kitties. But she always cares for the strays. It is sad. My friend Lorna rescues the feral cats and she has given many, many kittens homes and made sure the mommas get spayed. It is good to help the animals. They are like phamily.
