I think we are feeding more critters than our neighbors are...
they seem to gather here...
it could warm up a bit, and the forecast says its going to...
but that doesn't mean I don't have the heat back on now...
and the windows shut...
have you ever just sat and watched a train go by?
not because you have to because you're stuck in a line waiting for it to pass so you can get on with your day...
but just because you wanted to?
I did that today...
it won't be long before I can't see it from here...
the under growth and the leaves are popping right along...
and I saw dog woods and red buds in bloom this afternoon, too...
I do want one of each of those in my yard some day...
the walnuts have leaves!
they are always the last ones to pop out...
and since breakfast was so good, he brought a friend back for lunch...
as a look out...
and since Craig went bowling with his friends after work, DH and I got pizza...
sausage and mushroom on flat bread...
I was so bored this evening, that we made the store run I was going to do tomorrow...
I did a load of laundry...
finished the last 2 pillows...
cleaned out the litter box...
and sew up the arm holes on a night gown that I have had forever...
they were so big, that every time I rolled over, a boob fell out...
I know, probably TMI...
but now I won't spend half of my night stuffing them back in...
and no more frost bite...
which reminds me of an email some crazy old woman sent me today...
(hi, Jettie)
Old is when you develop a hole between your boobs...
its called a belly button...
not there yet, but working on it...
and now its after midnight, so I am late getting this up...
so happy May 2nd...
our city wide rummage sale is Saturday here...
but I am going with Craig this morning to see if there are any open a day early...
and get the best stuff before the out of towners come in...
looking for curtains, sheets, bedspreads that I can make over into something else...
got a tub of fabric, but not enough of anything to do something cool with...
and it really doesn't go together too hot...
might find some garden stuff or old junk that someone wants to get rid of, too...
shoot, with these, you never know what you are going to bring home...
that's why I am taking the truck...
just in case...
lace panels would be a nice thing to run into for a quarter a panel...
LOL
you never know..
have a good day and I will report back in with the junk we drag home...
;)
probably after my nap, though...
Oh that should be fun, wsh I was there, we'd have Craig hauling stuff to the truck , might have to even send him to unload and come back, while we shopped some more.
ReplyDeleteWish I could go with you and that Jettie could join in, too! Looks like you had a good day. My brother was fascinated with trains and someday I need to write a story about Frank E. Loomis that lived in a caboose in our woods.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a busy day, Tete.
LOVE your blog background. I always miss our horses the most in the Spring. They were so spunky this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThe sound of the train in the night hours is such a lonely sound...yet I miss that too.
Have fun at the sales. Hope you find lots of great things that you can use.
Love to you.
Debbie
