another early morning...
keeping things watered...
the bird bath and the feeders full...
redneck sprinkler...
;0)
I had to have my hands free to take pictures...
Craig went to the movies tonight with a friend...
in Paris...
so I am trying to eat my whopper he brought home and blog...
they saw...
How To Train Your Dragon 2...
got day lilies and cone flowers ready to bloom soon...
they are still trying to figure out the truck...
I told the guy today to just take it and drive it until it does it...
another cone flower out here...
one I got last year on clearence...
I think its purple...
seems like everything is digging this weather...
except me...
just cannot believe the corn fields and how much they are growing over night now...
my little photo bomber...
he is learning 'no bark' this week...
see!
the old saying was knee high by the fourth of July...
when I was a kid...
in Ohio...
here in Illinois, its head high by the fourth of July...
I don't think it will have any problems making that...
a bit of the moon was out this morning...
'corn is boring, show me some trees to pee on'...
there will be plenty to do out here when the temps go down...
the weeds are liking this weather, too...
and so are the bugs...
I can't wait for a break in this so I can get back out there...
I did feel better today and got some work done inside...
just the basics and some cooking...
and a nap or two...
Doug and Paula are coming up tomorrow afternoon...
do not have anything planned but just visit...
;0)
sometimes, that's just all that is needed to do...
have a great day and weekend if you don't get back around...

Tete, The corn around here is going but I think we are just a few inches short of your corn. It's all wet and nasty here too. I love your flowerbeds. Take care, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteTete, I am glad to hear you are back outside enjoying the weather and the floour flowers are coming right along with the corn, blooms everywhere, the roses are my favorite. My fybro is flaring up this morning, feels like someone dipped me in boiling water, that burning skin feeling all over. We will travel 400 miles today and I will be glad to get back home to my own bed and refrigerator! Have a wonderful day! You are always in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteyour title is a perfect description of those steamy days of summer.
ReplyDeleteluckily, we haven't had a string of them, yet.
btw, your present background (pale gray with a ballerina on the side) is lovely. not "demanding" attention. quietly gentle. allowing the words of the entry, to be easily read.
just sayin'...
