we have put in 2 mornings out here now...
and we have the fence up with fence posts...
just 3 sections here...
and they are behind the picnic table area...
there was so much weeding and cleaning to do over here...
I am thinking we are going to pavers in here...
the gravel just isn't working...
and I might paint the blocks...
we did a bunch of weeding on the back side of this and lined the flowers with 4x4s...
stuck a fence section up behind the flowers...
Craig found this when transplanting some of the day lilies so we could get the fence up straight...
we found this old shelf last year at a garage sale for like $3...
its very heavy and sturdy...
the clematis had a very small trellis and had overgrown it...
so we cut the growth off of the clematis to get it off of the small trellis...
and pulled it out...
then put this one back there...
I had DH remove the took 2 shelves...
they were warped and bowing...
then we wove the clematis in and around the base...
it should have time to grow and attach itself before winter...
I set a planter on the bars that go across for something there until fall...
we had done this last week, so it didn't need anything this time...
we have been watering most of the time...
but got an inch the other night...
so could skip a day or two...
its doing pretty good now...
baby watermelons everywhere...
but, do we have time before the first frost?
in the other planter like this one is this sparrow nest...
there are 4 eggs...
keeping an eye on them...
mom flies out when we water and scared the pooh out of us the first few times...
now we knock on the pot and let her get out before we water...
its all still growing...
and there are the beginnings of blooms on the green beans...
so...
in 10-14 days, I should be picking and cooing them off again...
I am ready for that...
just one more day with DH...
and then he will be back to work and looking at harvest very soon...
we took a trip to Paris last night...
was supposed to be a fun night of shopping and eating supper out...
but on the way over, I started getting sick again...
and I was so nauseated and my chest was very tight...
so, after he ran into the Walmart pharmacy to pick up his blood pressure pills and a quick stop at a friends to pick up a box of stuff there...
I told him to hit the ER...
I wanted checked while this was going on...
to rule out any heart problems...
so...
we went there and they took me straight back and hooked my up to all the fun machines they used...
I had 3 gals in there working fast and they were wonderful...
got an EKG and blood work done very quickly...
it was NOT the heart...
so they gave me a shot for nausea and one for pain...
( I am the cheapest drunk around.)
so by the time we left, I was feeling pretty good...
really, really good...
no pain at all...
no fibro, no nothing...
;0)
we went grocery shopping...
hit Kroger...
do not let a stoned person do the grocery shopping...
the cart was full...
;0)
but we will eat well this week...
grabbed a bunch of bland things and such to get this stomach healed up and back to normal...
I found coconut oil!
been looking for it for a long time...
sooooo...
I have decided its time to start getting me healthy again...
eating better...
kind of been doing whatever I wanted...
(it had been a long time since I could just eat anything without a gall bladder attack and I have been having fun doing it)
its been 2 years now since they took that out...
now its time to go back to my basics and start doing this right...
and get back to losing weight and getting around better...
;0)
I had a very good day today after I slept off all those meds from last night...
and no nausea at all...
;0)
have a blessed Sunday!
Tete, Your gardens always look so sweet. The men there are really good workers. Sorry you got sick...that is so scary what you went thru. Take care of yourself . Bless your heart, xoxo,Susie
