I hope your Monday wasn't too bad...
I had a good day...
nothing exciting...
just picked the kitchen to start in on...
and, like always...
one thing led to another...
some semi serious deep cleaning...
and at this rate...
I will be working on it all week long...
and there's nothing exciting about that at all...
one of our neighbors is doing a little landscaping...
or rather, unlandscaping...
and digging out the bricks that have lined the flower beds there for years...
and I asked him Sunday how much he wanted for them...
FREE
technology in the middle of a corn field...
so load by load, we will be bringing it all this way...
not sure how many there are...
but I have plans...
had to water it all last night...
picked 2 more tomatoes...
took the dog for a walk...
cleaned out one flower bed...
weeded and cut back the iris and columbine in there...
I had one glad bloom there, so cut it back...
need to pick up more glad bulbs one of these days...
I used to have them years ago...
its almost time to start thinking about if I want to add more spring bulbs in here or not...
tulips come up, bloom and you can mow them off...
so that might be something we can do more off that won't be a summer long problem to deal with...
the nuts are sure coming off of the walnut trees now...
so being careful out there under them...
I have yet to get beaned, but it could happen...
;0)
so, off you go to have fun today...
be blessed...
Beautiful day on Monday here. So we got more front flowers, to replace the struggling ones. And he planted them.
ReplyDeleteAs you know, our city is a tourist destination. And everyone (almost everyone) gets in the swing... Of wanting to "put on a pretty face" for our beloved city. ,-)))
We always like a few pretty flowers in front, and the city-wide-mood helps along. :-))))) NOTHING like some people do though. I mean ordinary people like us. Who do their own gardening. And go allll out!!!
The rich hire people, to do it all, for them. lol.
Today is due to be 100% rain. But we always need rain, too. Chiropractor today for both of us. So that will be good!!!!
Don't do too much cleaning!!!!!!!!
Tessa

Tete, I love used bricks. We bought a bunch Two trailers trips to the next town., while living in town. I make walkways and a patio...then dug them up for out here. I have handled them so often I know each one by name. LOL. Once we start one thing, we end up cleaning most often, don't we? I still have to weed my flower beds..that have grown more weeds than flowers this year. It is a sad mess. Take care, bless you, xoxo,Susie
