a little sunshine on Saturday...

DH and I spent the morning with our oldest Saturday morning...
(his 36th birthday!)
first thing to do was to get his blood work done...
complete fasting...
and then they didn't have "the codes" to bill the insurance...
????
we could have paid out of pocket for them...
????
NO
so we left...
(there will be calls made about that)
and we took that hungry boy and his girlfriend to Burger King for breakfast...
we were surprised at how good it was...
(we will be going back there again)
and then we took him to Kroger for his birthday shopping...
sounds kind of lame, I know...
but when a guy just started a new job and lives on his own...
(did I mention that he likes to eat?)
groceries are a pretty good present...
(and we didn't have to wrap them)
the left pretty soon to put the groceries up before they spoiled...
so Craig and I headed out and did the deck...
not complete, need linens...
will dig them out this week...

and plants!
but that will have to wait a bit longer...

it was fun to play around...
so we came in and did lunch...
he fell asleep on the couch...

so I went out to see how tall the grass was and take the mower for a test run...
just was going to make a few passes in the back to see how well it did and if it really need mowed...
well...
one thing led to another and before I knew it...
I had mowed the whole yard...
;o)

meanwhile...
DH was sitting on his butt...
trying to dig and cut out the honey suckle that was taking over the deck area...
and this is how far he got...
LOL
he worked hard, but that thing is in there good...
he decided it needs a bit more rain before it comes out of there...
he went out when I did to start the deck at 10am...
he didn't stop until after 5...
and he missed lunch...
we may never be rid of it...
but this guy is determined...
and a bit insane...
so it could happen...
have a good week...
