Happy Mother's Day from Duck Lake...

hoping your day is filled with love and family...

I had my boys with me yesterday...

and a surprise visit from my cousin from Ohio...

he was heading home from a trip to Sikeston, Mo...

of course, I am out there, mudding in rose bushes...

and he calls...

we're are an hour away...

see you in a little bit...

I am like, ok...

he saw me ok...

:)

muddy, sweaty and all...

the house was a disaster...

and the yard...

but I didn't care!

I had not seen him since I was 20...

and I wasn't about to let any of that other stuff get in the way...

we are making a rose garden here...

where it doesn't flood...

still pumping water....

the lake is going to have to be drained...

and the city is going to have to do it...

no doubt about that...

but we have made some progress!

neighbors have 6 1/2 feet of water in their basement...

not good at all...

so go off now...

and have a good day...

remembering my mom and mother in law....

love them and miss them so!
