3 days of pumping and 15 days of standing water...
the side yard is a real mess right now...
and it will be a bit, even after the water is gone, before its back to normal...
but it is going down...
its gone from knee deep to ankle deep in the back here...
there is a beauty about it, though...
we now have pond scum...
along with ducks, geese, dragon flies and croaking frogs at night...
and the reflections at night of the lights all around are awesome...
but not as awesome as the sunrises...
the crystal clear times and the times when the wind blows and waves form...
I got 5 pots planted...
but DH manned that pump...
and dug more ditches...
and kept it going all weekend...
this is what he got me for Mother's Day a couple of weeks ago...
it has turned out to be the most useful thing...
from hauling trash pumps to flowers and dirt...
I sit on it and garden now...
hips are giving me a hard way to go these days and getting up and down is a little harder than its been in the past...
this is so much easier...
:)
I can throw my tools on there and go where I want to go...
unload, sit down and play away...
there are bigger versions...
but this one is just right for me...
and you can load it down, too...
300 lb limit...
it rolls really easy across the yard...
I didn't have to cook at all yesterday...
old DH sprang for all 3 meals out...
:)
so that let me be outside all day with him...
I hope y'all had great weekends!
see ya tomorrow!
What a terrible wet mess. If it were here, the mosquitos would eat us alive. Trust this clears up soon. The lawn mower looks like getting ready to mow the water.
ReplyDeleteTete, I am hoping that all dries up before mosquito season. That is a lot of work. Once this is taken care of, I hope it never happens again. We are to get some rain starting Thursday...hope it's not a total rainy weekend. I love your new garden wagon. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteP.s. DH is a good man.
