Still have power, but we have been getting sleet for the last several hours and the wind just picked up big time. Praying the power stays on and no trees down. Rebecca had her power back on earlier this afternoon and she has been blogging. DH made it home. They sent him home early, right after lunch. He ran by the store really quick for more milk and pop. We are officially hibernating now. The sleet is constantly hitting the windows and the wind is howling. Trees and bushes are bobbing stiffly out there. I just hope you all are doing ok. We are to have snow tonight (3-5) inches and tomorrow (1 inch). Sure is a lot different than they were first calling for. Thursday the temperature is to be very low, high of 17, but then it gets better from there. We just need to sit tight until this is finished.
The only good thing about all of this is that that crazy ground hog won't see his shadow tomorrow and we get an early spring! I, personally, think we deserve it after this winter.
Oh, yeah- we haven't had the thunder or lightening yet.
The sleet just quit. It's way too quiet. Must have changed over to snow. I can hear the wind still, but no sleet. Better go check this out.
Hugs-Tete
the ground hog will be stuck in his burrow under 10 inches of snow!!

ReplyDeleteMy hubby is getting it good and thick in Iowa, and I am just thankful for clouds and temps in the 30's -40's after our two snow and ice ventures already this Winter. ENOUGH for the South...Alas...we got snow on March 1st last year (2 years in a row to be exact...) so we still have a ways to go, but I sure hope that bad-boy groundhog will be right. boy do I! Hugs to you Tete and thanks for popping in with your sweet and encouraging comments. :-)
Tete, We will be worrying tomorrow about our power..what you have is coming my way..hubby and I cleaned snow all day..he had to pull it off the roof..just to get ready for tomorrows storm..2009 we were withour power ..NO LIE------ 11 days..yes that was eleven..fianlly got a generator after 6 days of no heat, lights, power..nothing..we lived in front of the fireplace. I cried I was so cold..
ReplyDeleteIt was a nightmare..Ice storm took all the power lines down along with the tree's. We were so thankful and still are today that our home was not damaged..Thank you LORD..
Prayers being said that you remain on with power..
