shadows and a Bob Marley quote...

shadows this morning while I was out lounging about...

dead grass and soybeans...
its been 3 weeks since we mowed...
don't think it needs it this week either...

Bebe went out and rolled in the field...

came back a black poodle...

a shower with Craig didn't get it all, so in the sink he went...

poor puppy has had a shower and bath and is rolling around now trying to get the water out of his ears while the cats look at him like he's crazy...
except for one...
the baby is attacking every chance she gets...

all of this going on while I sit here and try to blog...

thought we had rain coming in this afternoon, but they changed it...
now it will be tomorrow...
hopefully...
praying we get it...
down south of us, the insurance companies are giving the go ahead to plow up the corn fields...
farmers have crop insurance, so its not a total loss for them...
but they have to wait until they get the ok...
so their checks are in the mail...
corn is above $8 a bushel now, and going up the max every day...
if we don't get rain in the next 2 days, we will be in a severe drought...
and the farmers could be plowing up their corn fields next week...
there may not be much of a harvest...
prices will soar on all corn products and byproducts...
it will raise everything...
pray hard for rain for this years crops...

and now this...
I thought it was great and so true...
I found the one unperfect guy who is perfect for me...
hope you did, too...

  1. I see lots of crosses in your shadow pictures...a subtle sign that He is with us everywhere we go.

It is scary about the corn crops and all crops. We desperately need rain, too.

I have read that Marley quote before- It's great isn't it? xo Diana

  2. Hey girl...Love the shadow play - pretty pics to view here today. Love the chenille, the crochet, the embroidery, the lace, the flower colors ...ALL! dry grass...NOT...Kurt finally mowed our back because we had a patch here and a patch there that was over 12 inches I suspect...Just looked unkept...even though the rest did NOT need it...yup...praying for rain...I think Everybody has a "chance" or "scattered" or "possible" in their forecasts...but what does it mean for ME???that's what we all are thinking....and those poor farmers...I know they are on their knees, while their minds are trying to come up with that bail-out disaster recovery plan...yes...Corn will become a TREASURE! I found out how to do ears in the microwave for the first time and really want to try it...better get some quick before I lose the chance ...Well...I guess Bebe just wanted a change of color and you guys JUST wouldn't cooperate...dang it...trying to see whether blondes or brunettes have more fun, and now you've spoiled it she's probably gonna head out after the first heavy rain and roll again! lol...keep having fun Tete, and keep praying for rain...it's GOT to come sometime...{{hugs}} ps...I LOVE that Bob Marley quote...gonna save it...'cause IT's loaded with wisdom and it's true. thanks for sharing....xoxoxoxo

  3. Love the shadow play, beautiful, and as Diana says, shows that God is all around us.

They announced yesterday that in our county, and the one north of us, Extreme drought conditions... No real rain since May 1st.Daughter's employer has cut back everyone's hours because they are a Farm Co-op and business is slower because of weather, no fertilize and no seed being sold.
