I did get out...but not for long...

having some fibro and arthritis issues and I almost didn't get out at all...

but we got to 46 yesterday, so one quick run before it did me in...

I am sitting here, just before 2am...

the wind is gusting up to 55 mph here...
and the wind chill is -10...
and will keep dropping before morning...

I did a little v day decorating...

I had my box out and was about to get the white feather tree out of storage...
when 2 hyper kitties came stomping in to see what I was up to...

so it all got dumped in a bowl and a couple cups...
and I quickly shut the door...

this is what snow that there is left...

still some good sized chunks along side of the road...

but for the most part, we did have bare ground...

and it was good to get out...

its always good to see the sun and melting things...

I think I might have a bug of some kind, too...

did run across this one...
eating last fall apples along side of the road...
I had my window down and told him to sit pretty...
and he came right up to me...

we need to start praying this winter away...
and I need prayers for a dear, sweet lady...
her name is Jettie...
and she is having hip replacement surgery in the morning...
pray she has a good, relaxing day today...
and a good night's sleep...
and pray for her doctor and the staff that will be doing the surgery and the ones taking care of her after...
she is to be in the hospital 3 days...
I will post more about her tomorrow...
and her blog...
sleep well, the rest of the night...
and if you are in this mess of a storm, be safe and warm...
praying all of our power stays on...
;)

  1. Oh that silly possum, guess he was hungry. I used to have a pet possum, lol, also a couple of baby squirrels, and a pet raccoon, we also had a deer for awhile. Living in the country, you get all kinds of critters.

Thank you for the prayer request for me, I'll be part bionic woman tomorrow night.

  2. Super to get out the door!!!!!

Sorry about the health issues, my Dear. -sigh-

And you have another new blog look here. So soft, so pretty, so old fashioned. To me anyway. So lacy, so gray, which I love. Mmmmmmm.....

Just heard of your friend's surgery, from Nana-Dianna. I visit this lady's blog, and commented on her husband's latest beautiful guitar... But didn't mention her surgery, since she did not mention it herself.

Best wishes and gentle hugs, all round....

  3. Hi Tete, It's good to see what's going on in your corner of the world. I like your Valentine decor. Feel better soon!

  4. I am so glad that you were able to get out, Tete. I can't believe that you start melting right away. We don't. We will have a full snow base here probably right through March. Not a speck of green to be seen. xo Diana
